The United States is beset by a whole host of problems that we have the knowledge and ability (but not the courage) to eradicate. The solutions are, more often than not, surprisingly simple and, at the same time, hopelessly out of reach. In short, we are a people stuck in our own glue, unable to reach solutions that are right in front of us.

The reason? We have reached a point in time where people are simply unwilling to hear the truth.
Not reluctant, not resistant.... unwilling. So unwilling are some to hearing the truth that they will try to ruin your career, your life or even resort to violence.

These days were foretold in scripture.
2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires.
Exactly as that scripture suggests, we live in a society of teachers willing to suppress and oppose the truth, by any means necessary, according to the desires of a public that is determined not to hear it. As this continues, we continue to be a society in decay, rotting from the inside out.

The story of Adam and Eve tells us of the first desire of man to decide for himself what is right and wrong. In short, to play God. Never has this been more the case than now.

On the issue of Abortion, the truth could hardly be more clear than it is today. With the current 3 dimensional sonograms and other scientific marvels, it is no longer plausible to argue that a doctor doesn't know exactly what it is he is terminating. Abortion, itself, is a grotesquely sterile term glossing over an unspeakable atrocity. Not unlike ethnic cleansing or final solution. Abortionists do not like the public to see the visual evidence of their heinous craft. It would make most people sick. Yet, as Henry Hyde once said so eloquently, "we are too squeamish to look upon what we do but not to squeamish to do it".

The issues of Abortion, STDs and Abstinence are intrinsically linked. The latter prevents both of the former 100% of the time. It has never failed. So called experts praise (and grossly exaggerate) the success rate of condoms. Condoms commonly have holes as large as 5 microns while the Aids virus is about 1. It's kind of like using a fishing net to catch a gnat Yet, even if condoms did have the 95% success rate the so-called experts claim (they don't), it still would expose 1 teenager out of 20 to STDs. It still would expose 1 teenage girl per 20 to a pregnancy she isn't prepared for.

When we are in a society that accepts that, we are doomed. Would society accept a car that kills one passenger out of 20? An airline where 1 plane out of 20 crashes? A restaurant where 1 out of 20 gets sick from food poisoning? Would we accept our government thwarting only 95% of the terror plots? Yet, we would subject our children to risk for STDs, pregnancy and the trauma of abortion because we are too cowardly to teach our children the truth.

96% of new Aids cases are among homosexuals. Aids is a homosexual disease. It does discriminate. These are facts. All the names you call me won't change that.
We are not a stupid society. The fact that there are 5 billion people in the world is irrefutable proof that nature itself instructs us on what the male and female sex organs are for. When someone wants to put them somewhere else (places they were clearly never intended to go) , why is it so difficult to call it what it is-perversion?

Why do we tolerate a society that teaches our children that being a pervert is a perfectly healthy, perfectly moral choice, when all of the evidence (and simple common sense) clearly says otherwise? If we teach our children to not be faggots and to keep it in their pants, they won't get pregnant, they won't get herpes, they won't get aids. 100% guaranteed.

The deficit is an issue that gets a lot of press. It also, is one that is easily solved. The current budget deficit has been cut by almost $400 billion by a simple formula- keep taxes low and grow the economy while restraining spending. Has anybody even noticed how much the deficit has fallen? No, because it doesn't advance the story line. Our politicians in Washington are trying to convince us that raising taxes will eliminate the deficit. That has never worked- not once.
In fact, the states with the highest taxes- California, New Jersey, etc...- have often been the states with the highest deficits.

On April 15th, our government brought in a record $300 Billion. Anyone who denies that tax cuts increase revenues, just isn't paying attention. So, how could anyone be against reduce taxes when they are so clearly too high, and choking off growth?

It is the same selfishness that encourages so many of our problems. Millions of Americans are bitter towards the rich and cannot stand the idea that someone might get a bigger tax cut than they do? Oh, they understand that tax cuts fuel economic growth, they understand that tax cuts increase revenue. It just doesn't fit their-old as Cain and Abel- need to punish anyone who is doing better than they are.

Of course, revenue is only half of the deficit equation, spending is the other half.

We live in a society where everyone is scrambling for a piece of the pie and pointing the finger when the bill comes due. In order to get spending under control, we must tackle the 5 biggest enemies of our country's economic future;
  1. Entitlement spending.
  2. Rising Health Care costs.
  3. The rising cost of housing.
  4. Corruption and political pandering.
First, and foremost, all 4 are directly linked to illegal immigration. The problem of illegal immigration has become a crisis and the solutions have to be swift and severe. If you apply for a job, seek medical care, apply for a drivers license or show up to vote and you cannot prove US citizenship, you should be subject to arrest and deportation. THE END. No exceptions.
If you are at a hospital, you should receive emergency medical treatment only. Then, you should be arrested and deported. Again, no exceptions.

On the border, we should have walls protected by men with guns. Cross our border, you get shot at. Companies must be able to certify the legal status of every single employee or be subject to exorbitant fines. Companies must be forbidden from hiring contractors until they can prove the citizenship of all their employees.

Amnesty? No. If you are hear illegally, you go back to where you came from. Period. To the naysayers that claim that we cannot round up all the illegals, we won't have to round them up. With no jobs, no medical care and the threat of prosecution, they will leave.

As for the rest of entitlement spending, personal retirement accounts is the obvious. answer. Simply stated, the government cannot fund the retirement of all it's citizens forever. Spending is way outpacing revenues. If a portion of the Social Security fund is not invested in something that gives a higher rate of return, it will go bankrupt. It is just that simple. While we are at it, something needs to be changed about this whole notion of entitlement. Government assistance should be by need, not by age. I see now reason why I should be paying for the prescription drugs for John Kerry once he reaches 65. At the same time, an unemployed, 28 year old, single mother of 2, with cancer, should be able to get the medicine she needs.

Rising Health Care costs is another big issue that many people bitch about that are really part of the problem. Democrats can't credibly claim to be too interested in bringing health care costs down when they tried to elect ambulance chaser John Edwards as Vice-President. Frivolous lawsuits cause sky rocketing malpractice insurance costs and force doctors to perform defensive medicine. We must cap pain and suffering awards and institute a loser pays system to stop these ridiculous lawsuits. Legitimate lawsuits would not be affected.

Prescription Drug costs are also out of control and driving health care costs through the roof.
Drug companies should be eligible for expanded tax relief for the costs of research and development so those costs are not passed on to the consumer.

Yet, tax breaks for drug companies and caps on lawsuit awards can't get traction because they just don't square with the attitude of soaking the rich.

It's the old entitlement philosophy. People insist on having things they don't need because they think they are entitled. Well, to quote Col. Jessup, in A Few Good Men, "I Don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to".

Who is to blame for the rising cost of your company health care plan? Maybe you.
If you are going all over the place trying to find the most comprehensive plan with the lowest deductible and then trotting off to the doctor every time you have the sniffles, you are a big part of the problem.

Tax free medical savings accounts, coupled with a catastrophic illness plan would give the overwhelming majority of Americans all the health care protection they need and provide an incentive for keeping costs down. No such incentive exists when a doctor visit is $10.
Qualifying expenses could be quit smoking plans or gym memberships.

The cost of Housing is another issue but this looks like it is going to somewhat correct itself.
What is the cost of a House? $250,000 you say? hardly. That $250,000 house equates to about an $1,800 a month mortgage, in many places, for a 30 year note. That is $648,000 for those of you keeping score at home. Anyone who thinks 3 bedrooms and a bath is worth $648,000 needs their head examined. But wait, there's more. That's right, property taxes.
Add at least another $240,000 to that cost. That's right, over the course of the life of the loan, you will just about match the ticket price of the home in taxes. That brings our $250,000 home up to about $890,000. Then there is maintenance and upkeep and utilities- easily another $5,000 a year. Your $250,000 home is going to cost you about $1.5 million.

Renting, on the other hand is going to be hundreds less in rent vs a mortgage, thousands less per year in utilities and maintenance. Even considering the modest tax advantages of home ownership, to me. it's a no brainer. It's foolish to buy a home today. You don't need it and it's not worth it. Save that money to help your kid go to College.

Only when Americans revolt against what is the most egregious gouging going on, will the prices of homes come down from fantasy land to reality land. There are signs that that is starting to happen now.

Meanwhile, we need to tell the environmentalists to go screw themselves and starting opening up access to the raw materials we need to be able to bring homes to market cheaper.

But nooooooooooooooooo. Americans are obsessed with keeping up with the Joneses, so they insist on having the biggest house, the biggest car and all mahogany furniture...which is all well and good. However, they then have the audacity to say you can't drill here, you can harvest trees there and, oh by the way, keep the windmills from obstructing my view.

When you hear them complain about how much a new dinette set, or a gallon of gas, costs, you just want to reach out and smack them.

Isn't it ironic that Environmentalists and Evolutionists are often the same people?
The same nuts who tell us (without any intervention, whatsoever), the primordial pea soup brought forth walking fish that became mango pango man that became modern day liberals, by the simple precept of survival of the fittest, now believe that everything from the hippo to the lady bug is on the verge of dropping dead at any moment if we don't spend every waking moment trying to save it.

My position on the evolution/intelligent design argument? As Ann Coulter says, "teach the one that is supported with science....and throw evolution away".

Corruption and Political pandering are only natural in a society where everyone thinks they can vote themselves stuff. The solutions are really very simple.
  • A line item veto.
  • Outlaw unrelated riders from being attached to a bill.
  • Prosecute Democrats too.
For Every Mark Foley, i'll show you a Barney Franks. For Every Bob Packwood, i'll show you a Bill Clinton. For every "Duke" Cunningham, I'll show you a Dan Rostenkowski. For every Bob Ney, I'll show you a Bob Torricelli.
My request is simple. Prosecute all the guys on the take and all the perverts...not just the Republicans.

  • Environmentalists- they are fanatics. Ignore them. Ecologists should be listened to. Being a good steward of the planet is a great idea. Anyone who thinks a dolphin is equal to a human, show me a dolphin that has built a skyscraper or an expansion bridge. We need oil, trees, gas, nuclear power... Duct tape their mouths and do what we need to do.
  • The Iraq war- Stop pussing around and take the gloves off. Not 21,000 more troops, 210,000 more troops. Gun ships, tanks, Aerial bombardments. We could end this thing in a weekend and there wouldn't be any more civilians killed then the current slow bleed process going on now.
  • Profiling- There have been more than 8,000 terrorist attacks since 9/11 and not one that wasn't carried out by 18-40 year old Arab Muslim males. That's your profile. Use it. If you are a Muslim male who isn't doing anything wrong, it won't hurt you to let someone look in your backpack. Let the boy scout and the 80 year old woman through for Pete's sake.
  • Child Molesters- Death penalty- first offense. Any questions?
  • Anti-War protesters- Fire hoses at full strength. We are at war with an insidious enemy. Quit running your yaps.
  • War on Terror- Option A) They kill us. Option B) We kill them. I'm going with option B.
  • Energy Prices- Drill more, refine more, whine less.
  • English- It's our language. Learn it.
  • CPS- Can't be fixed. Destroy it, start over. Pat attention to the stats. Find out who the abusers really are and send expert detectives (not idiot caseworkers) to get them.
  • Education- Vouchers. It's the only way. Public schools will not improve if they don't have to.
  • Separation of Church and State.- Go back to what the Constitution actually says. It is not an infringement on your rights for me to exercise mine.
You see? The solutions are all simple. Why can't we get them done?
