The panic and outrage over the vote to open debate on the amnesty bill was just a bit premature. Harry Reid's machinations, designed to prevent serious ammendments and debate, pretty much doomed this monster.

Today, in at least the 4th attempt to invoke cloture on the bill for the purposes of bringing it to a vote, The Senate failed to even reach 50, much less 60.

With today's 46-53 vote, we can pretty much throw dirt on this bill.

A great day for Democracy.
