JUSTICE IS DONE
I celebrate Bush for commuting the sentence of Scooter Libby and The Knight will tell you that lately I am no fan of this President. Libby was railroaded by the left wing who were furious that his testimony was not going to give them Karl Rove. Do not be fooled. This was NEVER about Scooter Libby. This was all about Karl Rove. Libby was testifying about something that happened six years ago, and he made contrary statements most likely out of a faulty memory.Bill Clinton's list of full-tilt pardons is far more horrifying than this. Clinton pardoned all kinds of out and out criminals. Bush has hardly used this ability to pardon folks, and I believe his reluctance to use it shows us that he thinks long and hard about when to use it. And in commuting the sentence, he did not set aside the conviction, the probation nor the fine (a quarter of million dollars).
This is fair and just.
