VILLARAIGOSA JEERED AND BOOED AT SOCCER RALLY
If a Hispano Mayor can't get cheers at a soccer rally (and we all know how much Hispano folks love their soccer), where CAN the Mayor get cheers? LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa shows up at the Beckham welcome rally unannounced, presumably to get some good press for a change. He's been having a difficult time lately with his reputation for shtuping hot reporterettes and dumping his marriage vows.Villaraigosa, considered the Great Brown Hope for Democrats to run for Governor of California, may be in serious trouble. After all, if his own people have turned on, he might have burned all of his bridges. Antonio is currently Hillary Clinton's Western Campaign Chairman, but that might be changing too.
When Hillary Clinton opened up her west coast campaign headquarters, and Antonio didn't show up, it was spun as though it was Antonio's choice. Of course with Bill Clinton's well-known cheating hanging around Hillary's neck like a dead albatross, there is no way the Clinton Campaign wants another philandering husband to deal with. A Newt One figures the Clinton people told him to stay a good long distance away from the Grand Opening, and we suspect he'll be replaced soon enough.
