GOVERNMENT INVESTIGATING CHARLATANE MINISTRIES
Misusing funds is disgusting, but the investigation won’t go far
Jimmy Z - I’m not going to go to great length here, but it is worth mentioning that Benny Hinn and some other TBN charlatans are being investigated for misuse of donor funds. Well duh.
Benny Hinn, for example, lives in a $20 million dollar estate. Let that sink in for a minute. Twenty million dollar estate. TWENTY MILLION. Hinn also owns a $40 million Gulfstream aircraft. FORTY MILLION DOLLARS.
On Tuesday, Bill Keller said quite eloquently of Hinn’s continual fund raising that if Benny Hinn needs more money, let him move into a $5 million dollar home and use the $15 million for his ministry! Or better yet, let him sell the Gulfstream and instead fly first class on any given airline, like normal wealthy bastards.
Keller also pointed out that these charlatans are probably not going to jail – if anything they might lose tax exempt status and have to settle up with the IRS. Well duh!
The nasty part of this is that it will bring more scrutiny and more criticism of genuine, Godly churches and ministries who are honorable in the gathering and using of funds from donors. The only ministries I would trust would be those who keep their books open to donors and declare a reasonable salary for the pastor.
There is no Bible mandate that a minister be a pauper. But homes all over the globe? Homes purchased with donor money? Enough!
