Not wanting to steal the thunder of Fred or Malagent, i'll just give you a summation.
This boy dressed up as a soldier to honor his war hero Dad (I did the same when I was a kid) and he got beat up.
Sick parents stood back and watched.

The real problem here is with the kid dressing like a murdering terrorist Bush thug soldier. The terrorists are our troops and they deserve to be killed for no going awol to protest this illegal war.
What parent leaves their kid to go kill other kids and then has him dress like a killer? A parent that deserves to be dead. Maybe the kid that got beaten will have learned a lesson and wont grow up to be a terrorist like his daddy!
