WESTBORO ‘BAPTIST’ CHURCH IS NOT A CHRISTIAN CHURCH

A Newt One stands against crazy, hate-filled mob from Kansas

Jimmy Z -  A jury awarded the father of a fallen American soldier close to $12 million in his suit against Westboro ‘Baptist’ Church, who staged what can only be called a nutjob mob of a protest outside his son’s funeral.

This is a good conclusion in the lawsuit, but that’s not what I’m writing about.

Westboro congregants do not in any way represent conservatives, Christians, Jesus Christ, God or the Bible. They are tools of Satan himself. They claim to know God, but they obviously have no idea who God is.

Let’s look at their most fabled placard slogan that we see in photos every time these yoyos protest somewhere, the famous “GOD HATES FAGS.” This is not only their favorite slogan, but the namesake of Fred Phelp’s (the church’s pastor) official website, ‘godhatesfags.com.’

Does God hate fags?

Simple question, simple answer. No. God doesn’t hate anyone. God hates SIN. God hates immorality and unholyness.

God is a Holy God. God can have no association whatsoever with sin, thus we are separated from God by our sin. Jesus Christ, the perfect Son of God, was sent to die for our sins because we could never atone for sin ourselves. When we accept the gift of the saving grace of Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven and our relationship with God restored.

The adulterer, the liar, the theif, the drunkard, the murderer, and the homosexual are all separated from God by their sin. God loves homosexuals as He loves everyone, but God hates homosexuality. What a homosexual must do is repent and follow Jesus Christ.  That act of humility before God restores one’s relationship with Him. No sinner is elevated above any other sinner in the eyes of God.

Though it would disturb Westboro congregants to know it, they are just as sinful in the eyes of God as the homosexuals they hate.

No, God does not hate fags. It is a horrible lie, even heresy, to say that He does. Westboro ‘Baptist’ Church protests are not Biblical. In fact, the Bible condemns Westboro Baptist Church’s activities.

Let me be clear; A Newt One stands firm against any special rights for homosexuals. We are against any laws that allow for gay marriage or any similar union.

A couple more quick answers to Westboro sloganeering:  No, God does not hate the USA. I have written here before that many people like to talk about whether God is on the conservative or liberal side. This is the wrong question. The question should be, “are you on God’s side?” Without question, in terms of gay rights and abortion alone, conservatives are on God’s side.

Another famous slogan has to do with thanking God for the deaths of soldiers fighting in Iraq. This is another example of the hateful motivation behind what Westboro’s brain dead mob proclaims. God is not punishing the USA (yet) by killing soldiers. If God begins to deliver his wrath upon the USA, you’ll know it. There won’t be any question.

It seems pretty clear that these people from Westboro ‘Baptist’ are not following Biblical principles at all.
