This story comes from the first state to ratify the US Constitution, Delaware. The University of Delaware has a program for all resident students. This is from the school's Office of Residence Life Diversity Education Training program. This program teaches that '"all whites are racist" and offers "treatment" for any incorrect attitudes regarding class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality".'
Now this is totally absurd. An university in the United States of America openly advocating the 'indoctrination' of the students at that university. And just who is administering this program to the students? Well, it just happens to be the Resident Advisors at the dorms. Another bunch of 'Left Wing' thinkers trying to enforce thier ideas on others through, no less than, coercion. The RA's have told the students that this program is mandatory. They have to have one on one's with the RAs to discuss this. Then the RAs write up reports on the meetings and submit them to thier supervisors. Are they grading the students on thier participation in these "feel good" meetings?
This all boils down to one thing, Political Correctness. And this is, again, Political Correctness run amok! Kind of reminds me of the Re-education camps of Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh and Pol Pot. Think the way I do or do not live. It is really scary to see this happening in our public institutions.
But, what I have seen recently, this is the norm. Giving birth control to middle schoolers, in Maine. Having Muslim week in schools in California. The educational system in this country is self-destructing.
The big question that has been brought up, by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), is that this is an extreme violation of the Constitution. I can tell you this, that this is an institution I would never allow my children to attend. For the full story (click here).
