Colorado churches shooter was not an anomaly
Jimmy Z - The horrible story of the shootings at two churches in Colorado just wasn’t that big of a surprise now, was it? For many years it has been perfectly alright for ongoing, outrageous anti-Christian bias in all forms of creative arts and in the major media. Anyone anywhere can say any hateful thing they like about Christian people, and no one bats an eye.
Let me tell you, my friends: This is just the beginning. If you spend a few minutes online with a search engine, you can find the most atrocious things imaginable being said about Christians. Preachers, ministers, pastors and priests are all insulted and called horrendous names. Well known men of the cloth, such as the late Jerry Falwell, are acceptable targets for stunningly vicious hatred.
Unknown persons who profess faith are ridiculed and insulted in the most vulgar fashion. And this outright bigotry is acceptable because it’s about Jesus Christ, everyone’s favorite punching bag.
The fellow in Colorado made his hatred for Christians well known, yet no one thought enough of his rage to report him or get him some help. And the people around him didn’t feel the need to report him or get him psychological help because what he was expressing was acceptable!
If you think that after the shootings in churches this is going to change, you have another thing coming. It is only going to get worse. There are people out there who hate Jesus Christ, and they hate Christians for believing in Him. They hate Christians for having faith and hope in a life hereafter. They hate God and they hate people for standing up for Biblical morality.
The Colorado shootings have people thinking. You and I are thinking how sad it is that we’ve come to the point where churches now need to seriously consider having armed security and metal detectors, but there are other people thinking that this hateful soul who did the shooting had the right idea.
If they could only get rid of the Christians, they believe, everyone here on earth would get along. Now, they don’t know that once the Christians are gone from planet earth, the mustard really comes off of the hot dog. Hate and killing and ‘not getting along’ will increase exponentially. The only reason there seems to be any ‘getting along’ at all is because Christians are here offering a little truth in the midst of all the godless madness.
My friends, do not rest easy, thinking that last weekend was an anomaly. Unfortunately, last weekend was a harbinger. I hate to be the one to say it, but more of that evil is on the way, and probably very soon.
Make no mistake though; it is all within God’s plan, and each such horror brings closer the wonderful day of Jesus’ return. I know I’m sounding very preacher-like here, and I’m not fit for the title. But last weekend did that to me - it made me very sad, and it made me very hopeful, both at the same time.
