All of you remember the ludicrous study that claimed that 600,000-1,000,000 Iraqi civilians have died in Iraq. Did you know who was the primary funder of that...er...study? Well...it turns out that a major funder of that study was none other than known America hater George Soros.
So much for the credibility of that study.
A New study from the respected New England Journal of Medicine puts the number at 151,000. That number is much more in line with coalition estimates and official Iraqi estimates.
So, what kind of person is overestimating casualties by 400%-800%? What is their motivation?
This is the very kind of cold sociopath that characterizes the anti-war issue. For this person, the the number of dead Iraqis-in itself- is irrelevant.
Leftists do not care about dead and dying people and they never have. If you have ever conversed with a leftist, you soon learn that they have all the compassion and empathy of a piece of cold fish. They were completely silent about the atrocities in Iraq before the invasion and they are growing alarmingly quiet about them now that the issue is losing it's political salience.
When you start to become a critical thinker, you can ask yourself to examine the plight of the tortured and tormented Iraqi people and ask yourself these simple questions.............
Which side attempts to remedy their situation and which side attempts to profit from it?
Who is actually oppressing and attacking the Iraqi people and who is opposing them?
Those who have consistently opposed the Iraq war have had many motivations....
....but the welfare of the Iraqi people certainly isn't among them. |
