A NEWT ONE-THE TRUTH SURGE
~Sonlit

Last week, we were hoping for a McCain win in New Hampshire to deny Romney momentum. Now, we are hoping for a Huckabee victory for the same reason. Romney is currently leading the delegate count 30-21-10-6 over Huckabee, McCain and Thompson.

Thompson had already moved up to 4th in the delegate count, now he has jumped over Rudy into 4th in the national numbers. I have always thought Rudy would be the first of the big 5 to fall and, as usual, I was right.

Rudy's Super Tuesday "firewall" strategy is a fantasy. He is in 5th place in the national numbers with a paltry 9%. He is tied for 6th in the delegate count with 1 delegate and has failed to finish in the top 3 in any of the 3 states thus far.

There are 4 Candidates polling double digits who have to be considered (for now) as still in the game. A Huckabee win in Michigan likely puts Romney in a plunge. Whether or not Thompson can take advantage, and move up to third, remains to be seen.

Right now, Michigan is any one's guess. With no contest on the Dem side, Independents and moderates could swarm in and shake up the whole thing.

Damn! This is like a roller coaster!
