Rasmussen has just released a poll showing that Republican front-runner John McCain would thrash Hillary Clinton by at least 11 points.The latest head to head matchup between McCain and Hillary is a real eye opener. In fact, I had to do a double-take to make sure I was reading it correctly.

This poll is even worse than it looks, folks.
McCain trails by 56 points among Democrats but leads by 80 among Republicans. He also leads by an astonishing 21 points among unaffiliated voters.
Recently, I was surprised to read that McCain would beat Hillary handily in the battleground state of Pennsylvania. However, if you look at this poll, McCain would beat the evil witch like a bass drum from sea to shining sea.
Did I mention that the Mac leads by 21 among unaffiliated (independent) voters? That means that the voters that didn't declare in this poll would break 2 to 1 against Hillary.
49-38? Try 58-42.
The same poll shows that McCain also beats Obama, but by a much closer 46-43 margin.
I have always said that Hillary is the opponent we want. Nobody was happier about her win in New Hampshire than me.
