Look folks, it's just like this. If the current polling holds sway, there are two Republicans capable of winning in November- only two. Fred Thompson and John McCain. If our nominee isn't one of them, it has to be the other.
Romney, Huckabee or Giuiliani cannot win in November.
Those are just the facts.
The favorable/unfavorable net for the above 3 are, respectively, -13, -7 and -15. All 3 of those nets are worse than Hillary Clinton (-2). Obama is at -7 and Edwards (the most dangerous Democrat) is at +7.
The only Republicans who can compete are Thompson (0) and McCain (+16).
In fact, of all the Presidential candidates, only McCain has a favorability above 50% and only McCain has an unfavorable below 40%.
It's this simple. Support any other GOP candidate other than Thompson or McCain, and you are supporting the election of a Democratic President. For A Newt One, we hope Thompson finishes top 3 in Iowa. If he doesn't, we will formally endorse John McCain. |
