Keller, his website ‘votingforsatan.com’, and Mormonism
Jimmy Z - Since we don’t have a message board (too many departments already), I’m going to post this so that we can please continue the discussion that was 11 comments long last I looked, under the post below announcing the creation of the ‘votingforsatan.com’ website. This is a creation of Bill Keller and his ministry, and I think it’s outrageous, but outrageous for a good purpose.
The CyberPastor felt that it was a disappointment and I want to explore that more. I have great respect for the CyberPastor and for Bill Keller, and I do think that being outrageous to make a point has it’s place is Christian ministry. What could be more outrageous than Jesus Himself declaring that He is God?
But, if we’re off track, I believe that I want to know. What it comes down to for me is that Christendom now appears to be teetering on the edge of accepting Mormons as brothers and sisters in the Christian faith, and I would rather be the very last greasy-haired loud mouth crazy old man on earth, shouting on the street corner about the truth of the Mormon cult than to take a ‘live and let live’ position and end up having more souls deceived by the Devil. I do want more comments on this though - it is the issue that I care most about. Can a Christian vote for Mitt Romney without selling out their faith in Jesus Christ?
