Braindead, ignorant voters ought to be banned from the polls
Jimmy Z - Last year, a judge found that the 10% sales tax Los Angeles levied on phones, both mobile and land line, in Los Angeles was an illegal tax.
Mayor Antonio Villaragosa, a man of truly smarmy and rancid character, immediately arranged with his cronies to put a measure on the ballot which would make the illegal tax legal. However, in an act of typical democrat dishonesty, the measure was presented as a ‘tax cut.’
What the voters saw on the ballot was a tax decrease, from 10% to 9%. Further, Villaragosa got his henchman, LA Police Chief William Bratton, to film television commercials stating that if the measure didn’t pass, they wouldn’t have the police needed to protect the city, and emergency services would be cut.
Further, the measure taxes more - mobile phones, home phones, fax machines, internet connection is all going to be taxed, creating what is in reality a huge tax increase!
So we have the electorate, steeped in ignorance, not realizing that simply voting ‘no’ would remove the 10% tax completely. Since it was found to be an illegal tax by the judge, the tax was a goner anyway!
But these voters had no idea what they were voting for. Talk radio tried to make everyone aware of it, but most folks don’t listen to talk radio. They entered the voting booth and saw, “tax decrease,” and voted ‘yes.’ And that’s the entire depth of their braindead understanding.
The democrat mayor lied to the people outright, and got his 9% tax. And he did it with a threat that ‘if you bloody taxpayers don’t ante up, we’re going to remove police, fire and emergency services’.
These filthy democrats use these threats as their excuse to raise taxes. “If you don’t pay us more, we’re cutting the most important thing we provide.” Somehow, it’s never their perks and luxuries. It’s never the froth on top. They never cut back the unnecessary expenses. It’s always the most important items that get the axe.
It would be like cutting back expenses at home, and keeping your cable bill up to date, but eliminating the running water.
Who enables this crap? The voters do. Across the country now, we have voters excited beyond words about the candidacy of Barack Obama. They are rallying and voting and cheering and volunteering for Obama For President.
Ask them what it is that they like about him! They can’t tell you. Why? Because Barack never said anything.
We need new voters in this country. The ignorance of the American voting public is horrifying. They actually think now that the Feds are supposed to cover our health care expenses.
The voting public in Lost Angeles really had no idea what they were doing, because most of them are not paying any attention. They should stay the hell away from the voting booth.
