SUPERBOWL MISFIRES
Jimmy Z - I like the game, a lot. Very entertaining. Sure, it was a defensive battle for 2/3rds of the game, but it was a great, pummeling, hard-hitting battle to watch.
However, I hated most of the commercials, which are supposed to be something we Super Bowl viewers would be excited about watching. Late in the game, I saw a commercial I like a lot, but I cannot recall what was being advertised and what the commercial consisted of now... so I guess the ad agency failed in what they hoped to accomplish.
Most of the commercials were pointless, gross, or overtly sexual in nature. The much-ballyhooed Budweiser commercial with the Dalmation training the horse was clever I suppose but it didn’t particularly strike me as great.
But the worst part of the whole big game was the Buck/Aikman announcing team. I can’t believe they put the Super Bowl in the hands and voices of such a droll, boring, unexpressive announcing team. Fox’s coverage stunk to high heaven.
Tom Petty rocked the house though; love that guy!
