A NEWT ONE-THE TRUTH SURGE

THE MOTIVATION BEHIND THE VOTINGFORSATAN.COM WEBSITE

Jimmy Z -  I don’t know that this will make anyone who is uncomfortable with Bill Keller’s site like it anymore, but since I do get what the good Pastor is up to, I thought I would give you my take.

A Newt One is first and foremost about politics. We are The Truth Surge, politically speaking. Pastor Keller’s whole approach -  not just an emphasis, but entirely and without exception -  is purely about the souls of men.

Bill Keller is not making a political statement about Mitt Romney. I would guess that politically, Keller has a lot in common with Romney.

But Keller is a man of God; he’s out to reach people on a purely spiritual level. Sure, he is using the political race for the White House, and Romney’s candidacy in particular, as a springboard to talk about the cult of Mormonism.  But his goal is not to have you vote for McCain, or Romney, or Clinton or Obama.

His site is purely about what Mormonism is.

When he takes people to task on ‘The Judas List,’ he is not calling out Coulter for her politics. He is simply saying that a Christian ought not be endorsing a man who has devoted his spiritual life to one of Satan’s most deceptive tools, the Mormon Church.

Let’s say, for instance, that Ann Coulter and Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh are all Christians, and I’m just a run of the mill listener who goes to church a few times a year. If I see these three people as Christians, and they all think Romney is fine, I start to think that Mormonism is just another off shoot from whatever I call myself.

And then more people become interested. “Hey, this Romney cat is ok! I might just check out that church of his!” And so I go, and the people there at the LDS church are swell, and I’m welcomed, and there it is. I’m hooked in with a cult. And it’s a very nice cult, with a lot of money and giving people and good families.  And I’m impressed. And the Devil lies in little ways and before too long, I like the idea of being my own god!  And I go to temple and I work my way up and I aspire to have my own planet one day and be a god of many people…

We like Ann Coulter a lot here. She’s brilliant, smart and right on the money in terms of conservative politics. She’s a hero of ours, I’m not going to tell you otherwise. But in terms of being a professed Christian, she has disappointed some of us because she ‘sold out’ to Mormonism, putting politics ahead of faith. And that’s never an acceptable way to go.

I’m Jimmy Z and I welcome your comments.
