Two more decisive Battleground States moved toward John McCain today in Rasmussen's overall count. Colorado, which Bush won in 2000 and 2004 and New Hampshire, which he won in 2000.New Hampshire (where polling alone showed a small McCain lead over Obama and Clinton) moved from likely Democratic to leans Democratic and should join Ohio, Colorado, Nevada, and Michigan as toss up States soon. Pennsylvania is likely to tip that way as well.
Colorado remains a toss-up. McCain had a 14 point lead of Hillary but has just moved into a 46-46 tie with Obama. The numbers clearly are trending to the Republicans in both States.
In the last month, McCain's favorability among Colorado voters has risen 6 points to 61%, while Obama's have dropped 5 points to 55%. A head to head net gain of 11 points for McCain.
Nationally, McCain leads Obama 48-42 and Hillary 49-43. Both Democrats have negative net favorables, while McCain sits at +10. Obama is at -1 and Hillary is at -6.
This is shaping up to be a rout. |
