A NEWT ONE-THE TRUTH SURGE
WHINY MEDIA FOCUSES ON THE ARBITRARY
The left seeks to demean those who sacrifice all

Jimmy Z - First, listen up; I want to be perfectly clear here: Every life lost in battle with America's enemies is a tragedy. Every soul who gives his or her life because they love liberty and freedom more than than love their own safety is a hero. Every family that has sacrificed a loved one is in pain, and grieves. Every number, including the number one, is too many.

That being said, the leftist media has been on a !@?$&! rampage all day, on television and radio; in the left wing blogs and in the newspapers, about an arbitrary number. The number? Four-thousand. One of our heros fighting terrorist scum overseas has died, and it is the four-thousandth such death in 5 years of fighting.

All day, at the top of the hour and at the 30 minute mark, the left celebrated the four-thousandth death. Yes, that's right, I said it and I meant it - they have celebrated this number.

We Americans should be
thankful that so few have died.

But really, what does this number mean? Is the person who died as number four-thousand more important? Does his or her death cause the left to think of anything more than a number?

The left doesn't care about the soldier who died as number four-thousand. They don't care about the sacrifice, they don't care about the family.

So then, why was number three-thousand nine-hundred ninety nine not as important? To you and I, that sacrifice was. To the scum-laden media? It didn't matter. They were sitting and waiting on the edges of their collective seat for number four-thousand.

Let's do some math with this big bad number. This number means that about 800 a year have died in a bitter battle between good and evil. [In case some leftist moonbat is reading my piece, WE are the good guys, dipsh*t].

I have insisted many times and I still contend that we Americans should be thankful that so few have died. Too many? Yes. But in a war that has lasted five years, and in a land where the enemy is vicious beyond description, God has been good enough to limit our dead to a relatively small number.

Many times, liberal moonbats in the evil left wing chat room will say that Bush killed all of these heros; that Bush sent them to die.

No sir. Bush is the Commander in Chief, but these heroes volunteered to fight for freedom. They are organic war deaths, if you will, because each one of our military heroes entered the military as volunteers, knowing that they could be assigned to fight overseas. And they did it because they believed it was a fight worth fighting.

Liberals also love to point to the number of dead as if it were some kind of number to beat over the heads of we who support the fight. They don't talk of people, they just chant the number. 'Four-thousand! Four-thousand!' over and over again.

They say that the number is a 'symbolic moment' and an 'ominous milestone.' No, it's neither. What the number four-thousand represents is another hero who gave his life so that the media can spout their anti-America, anti-freedom, anti-liberty bile. But this number is no more important, or less important, than the three-thousand nine-hundred and ninety nine before him or her, and those who, unfortunately, will die following him or her.

For perspective and context, two things liberals hate and run away from as if it were kryptonite, in the year 2006, 43,300 people died on America's highways. You don't hear liberals calling for an end to the automobile, do you? People volunteer to drive and many meaningless deaths occur on the highways.

It would take then a little over a month in 2006 to reach the number four-thousand dead, the number dead in Iraq over a five year period. I know this is a controversial contention, but isn't it more dangerous, in terms of the number dead - and that's the issue to the leftist media, the number dead - to drive on America's highways?

But you don't see leftists crowing about how many innocents die on our highways. For them, it's all about the numbers, but when you look at the numbers, and give them the numbers to crunch, they cannot respond. They can only spout their mantra: 'Four-thousand! Four-thousand!'

I don't hear about liberals in particular calling for the end to alcohol consumption, even though in that same year, 2006, 16,885 people died on American highways due to alcohol related crashes.

Again, do the math. In three months, as many people died because of drunk driving as volunteer heros died in Iraq over five years. That's twenty times as long, to reach that same random, arbitrary number.

But those in the liberal media aren't telling us when that magic four-thousand number has been reached in the drunk driving statistics, are they? They are calling for an end to bars, where people liquor-up and head out on the highways, are they?

Liberals cannot support their views, so they go for random, arbitrary 'milestones.' In this case, it is the number four-thousand. And after a day of their ranting, chanting and mantra-ing, I realize all over again that liberals don't have anything to offer us in America. They only offer hate and loathing.
