Like I said - once in a while. It isn't very often but although they be a rare commodity, the existence of Good Liberals has actually been proven. One would think that when such are identified it would make the evening news but, alas, the Lame Stream Media controls the Lame Stream Press and the Leftinistra are controlled and directed by the Lame Stream Media.
Zell Miller was such a Good Liberal, was he not? Do you recall what the Leftinistra and the Lame Stream Media said about him? I do. Just as a memory jogger, here is an audio clip to cause one to pause.
On 3/11/08 at 12:00 AM, there was an article published in the Village Voice entitled, David Mamet: Why I Am No Longer a 'Brain-Dead Liberal'...
Several bloggers have published entries, as will I, and the select ones at this time are as follows: The Anchoress, Ed Morrissey at Hot Air, and at Swampland.
In essence, what we have here is a recovering or, a recovered liberal. Surely he attended the 13-Step Program for such an astounding recovery. Hopefully, there won't be all that much fall-out to cause him the ridicule that Zell Miller received. Only time will tell.
When a once liberal proclaims and calls Thomas Sowell "our greatest contemporary philosopher", something special has taken place. Get yourself several cups of coffee or your favorite non-intoxicating beverage and plan on spending time with the linked article. Then, prepare yourself for the liberals that are stuck in the "brain-dead" and entitlements quagmire.
Naturally, there will be much ado and you catch it all at Memeorandum...
