I have discovered, through a Google Alert for "Moderate Muslims Rejecting Terrorism", another exemplar of ignorance. I post a few gems of ignorance below interspersed with my comments. Anyone who reads the daily news knows that thousands of horrible, tragic, murderous incidents around the world involve Muslims. Actually, much of the endless slaughter targets fellow Muslims.
But it's unclear whether the bloodshed has any link to Islam and the vast faith's 1 billion adherents - or whether it arises from just a tiny fanatic fringe, rather like the few extreme Christians who murdered abortion clinic workers.
What is that phrase the terrorists shouted when they slew the children at Beslan, hijacked the airliners and hacked off those heads ? Allahhu-Akbar. Is that not the same phrase Moe shouted when he attacked the Jews at the Khaibar Oasis? But the Editor can't consider the possibility that they are acting in emulation of Moe.
Neither can the Editor consider the possibility that the Muslim attackers are acting in obedience to Allah's commands to fight pagans until only Allah is worshiped, strike terror into their hearts, fight Jews & Christians until they pay extortion and make a great slaughter.
Most likely the Editor is blissfully unaware of those Imperatives as well as Moe's excellent example which Muslims are obligated to emulate. And of course, the Editor is blissfully unaware of the relevant Sharia (Islamic law). Lets examine a token sample of Maleki Fiqh from The Risala.
Because the Editor has not read Reliance of the Traveler, he is unaware of the fact that "The Caliph makes war upon Jews and Christians." [Book O-9.8] Because he has not read the Qur'an & Hadith, the Editor is unaware of the scriptural & traditional basis for that Islamic law.30.2c. Offering a choice between Islam and jizya
They can either accept Islam or pay the jizya (tax on non-Muslims); if not they are to be fought.
[His apparent words mean that they are given a choice between the two at the same time. If they accept one, they are left. Otherwise they are fought. Al-Jawhar describes the call as Islam being offered to them. If they answer, they are left. If they refuse, then jizya is offered to them, If they refuse, they are fought. All of that is when there is a delay and there is time. If they attack before the call, preventing our call, they are fought because then the call is unlawful.]
Unquestionably, armed Islamic extremism has become the worst danger in the 21st century. But instead of fomenting hostility toward all of the world's 1 billion Muslims, it would be wiser to build bridges of friendship and cooperation.
If Islam's moderate majority around the world can be persuaded to renounce the killer fringe completely and unequivocally - as U.S. Muslims have done - perhaps that deadly segment will stop attracting suicide volunteers, and wither.
How do you " build bridges of friendship" to people who are commanded not to befriend you?
There is no moderate Islam, neither is there any radical Islam. Islam is what Moe revealed & exemplified. Islam is:
- take (hold) of them and kill them wherever you find them.
- fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ].
- Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
- It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land.
- O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allâh is with those who are the Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2).
- , "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah."

- The spoils of war were not made lawful for any people before us, This is because Allah saw our weakness and humility and made them lawful for us.

- The Order for Jihad against the Disbelievers, the Closest, then the Farthest Areas
- The Order to fight to eradicate Shirk and Kufr
- The Order to fight People of the Scriptures until They give the Jizyah
- The Order for Jihad against the Disbelievers and Hypocrites
- The Good News that Muslims will conquer the Known World, and ultimately the Entire World
- The Good News that Muslims will Dominate the People of the Book
- The Good News that Islam shall prevail
renounce the killer fringe completely and unequivocally - as U.S. Muslims have doneMalicious malarkey!!! No Muslim ever has nor ever will unequvocally renounced Jihad. Doing so would be an act of apostasy, removing them from the Ummah al-Islamiyya and subjecting them to the death penalty. All extant official renunciations of terrorism are full of weasel words. They quote 5:32, but never quote the ayat which succeeds it. There is blessed good reason for their kitman.
5:33 The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter.
The devil is in the details. What is the meaning of this phrase: those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger?
`Wage war' mentioned here means, oppose and contradict, and it includes disbelief, blocking roads and spreading fear in the fairways. [Ibn Kathir's Tafsir]Disbelief in Allah is sufficient to subject you to the penalties listed in 5:33. You are a rebel against Allah, deserving of death. Your blood and property are not sacred to Muslims until you become one of them. You only save yourself from Moe and his Caliphs by submitting to Islam.
Those are fatal facts of Islam, which the Editor does not know about and the President and other elected leaders, the United Nations and the European Union do not want you to know about.Now you know. What are you going to do about it?
