We have bantered this idea and concept about amongst ourselves mostly out of frustration and healing humor but when I see a leftist blog/forum/media outlet say this, the more and more I see a "coming together" of all concerned. The piece is penned by George Schlatter at the Huff and Puff. Naturally, I have a side-bar thought that perhaps this piece is a sarcastic one but I do have "hope".
The Jihadis cannot be reasoned with - they see negotiations as a sign of weakness. They consider dying in combat to fulfill the teachings of allah and his "prophet" as a glorious event - they get 72 virgins.
The war which we are in at the moment, has been an ongoing happenstance since the early 1970s and with the Fatwa of 1998 and an earlier one in 1996, an official declaration of war between Islam and the Western World - primarily the United States - this war has become an official Holy War - a Jihad. That is what a Holy War is to the Muslims.
We, the United States and the Western World did not declare this war, the enemy did. It is a religious war to the enemy - maybe not to us - but it is a religious war just the same. The enemy has made it such and the more we ignore it, the more embroiled we will get. The enemy is in this for the long haul and we must be willing and ready to be the same.
The nemy has stated many times that their intention is to convert the Western Nations to Islam or the Western World will suffer the consequences. The only thing the Jihadis understand is death and dying and evidently, we haven't thinned out their gene pools to the extent that we need to have done.
We hear about nuking the place and carpet bombing and leveling the places where the Jihadis hide. That would be expensive but bombing them back to the stone age would be good for the entire world at this point. But, would it be necessary? Not if we soaked
However, in the article penned by Mr Schlatter, he did mention that perhaps we could carpet bomb the regions with pork products. I know some soldiers that dip their ammo in pork lard. They got into trouble for it but they still do it just the same. The Jihadis are deathly afraid of anything pork and they hate the very thought of being in contact with pork.
Perhaps Mr Schlatter was being sarcastic but it is a good idea...just to see how it worked out.
