There is scarcely a day that goes by that we are not excoriated by some wild-eyed, nimrod moonbat for posting "hate speech". Our typical response is to consider the source, delete the comment and never give it another thought.Until today.
On a daily basis, we write posts that are always true, never plagiarized, never sugar-coated, often hilarious but never hate speech. Hate speech is vicious, corrosive and designed for no other purpose but to tear down and cause pain. We leave the hate speech to the leftists.
What we use is truth speech. In doing so, many people become very offended. We usually don't care.
Until today.
Today, I was accused of posting hate speech on my blog by a sane person, a person I truly respect. The accusation was based on two specific articles. I didn't write either one. Nevertheless, I examined the articles to discern if it was reasonable to conclude that it was hate speech. One the second article- an article about Islam- I stand by my contention that it was not. I make that claim with the following caveat; Millions of peaceful, no- tens of millions of peaceful, gentle people claim the religion of Islam as their own. I do not despise the people, I despise the religion. Those wonderful, devout souls are wonderful and devout despite, not because of, Islam.
Most Muslims are Muslims because of fear and/or an ignorance of the true character and history of their religion of choice. Islam itself is a murderous, barbaric, gutter religion of war and murder. I will never apologize for saying that because it is just plain and simple truth.
However, I am a big fan of kind, sincere and gentle people. If they be muslims, so be it. I am not against any one's belief system until it violates the rights of another.
Yet, in saying that, minimizing the problem and makes ludicrous under-estimations of the number of radicals is a disservice to us all. Let's take off the PC glasses, shall we?
The other posts dealt with the Black community and had to be read in the context of the radical post they were in response to. Though I know for a fact, that these posts were aimed specifically at particular radical elements, within the Black community, the writer- I must admit- failed the clarity test. A reasonable person, without context, could misinterpret these posts to be the generalized anti-black commentary. I am asking the writer to amend his posts for the sake of clarification.
Let me re-emphasize. The writer failed in clarity only. The targeted message he was trying, unsuccessfully, to convey was spot-on. I'll let him elaborate. Understand this. The members of A Newt One abhor racism, in all it's forms.
