The greatest danger to our national security is us...the Silent Majority...those individuals afraid of their own shadows...the people that would "Rather" watch TV and go to movies and "let someone else" do the fighting for them. We have met the enemy and that enemy is us.

The original intent of the gift from France was to show the world what Freedom actually meant and to show the world that America was the shining example of Freedom. It was not meant to tell the world that, "Y'all come and indoctrinate these Americans with your Socialist or Jihadist ways and convert everyone to Socialism or Islam all in the name of the United States Constitution", did it?

How soon we have forgotten from whence we were formed and developed and how our history has been slowly rewritten. The one of many examples of this rewriting our history can be seen in the comments section of one of our posts here. The comments can be seen here. The self-professed socialist posting as "cloudy" is a prime example of that which we have been facing for decades in this country while many of us have been sleeping at the wheel of vigilance. Afraid of McCain? First, the question is whether he is the strongest candidate that the Repugs (who without getting trashed for it have used the epithet "Democrat Party" at least since the 76 election) could put up. There is an argument that Romney or someone else who would fudge the hawkish stance on the Iraq War (unlike McCain, who is OPENLY gung-ho for this unpopular war) would be stronger. But McCain's media preened image of a 'maverick' obviously strengthens his assets as a hardline RW hawk.

As for a McCain presidency? It means endless and unabashed spending on a ridiculous war that the US should never have started, and of course, similarly gross limitations on spending on such things as 'eco-industrialization', something needed for many reasons, including to avoid catastrophic Greenhouse Effect developments. Of course, the RW generally doesn't take things like global warming seriously, so they aren't "chicken littles" like me who thought the Iraq War was perverse from day 1 and who believe people like Jim Hansen (leading US climatologist) on the Greenhouse Effect. Sure, McCain sounds concerned enough about Global Warming to satisfy nearly all Repugs and RWers, even those who are not in denial, but what is needed is really far MORE than liberals like Gore and Pelosi advocate. They are WAY OFF, but in the OPPOSITE direction from that claimed by the RW.

So authentic progressives like myself are especially afraid of McCain, as he means LOTS more war, a renewed draft of some kind (possibly packaged as part of a not necessarily military 'national service' requirement), and ecological disaster. (Plus lots of other problems like ballooning deficits, something FAR worse under Repugs than Dems)

Let us take a long hard look at this, shall we? And, while we are at it, follow along with the comments by using the List of 45. (If this does not open your eyes, I pity you. The Jihadists are using the exact same list to take over this nation from within seeing that there isn't much difference in the rhetoric of the Jihadis or Sociopathic Socialists.

First of all, the United States didn't start this war. The proof of that dogma that the US did start the war is non-existent. It is a lie perpetrated by the enemies within and our pathetic political leaders continue to allow this lie to fester...a sign of cowardice in the line of fire. This fool thinks that the money spent on the war should be spent on fixing a non-existent condition and more socialistic give-away programs that have no founding in the United States Constitution. The folks that are "calling for more war" are the Jihadists whose foundations of spreading Islam is through militaristic ways. A brief look into their "holy writings" reveals this fact. The only way out of this war is via surrender to Islam. I wonder if this socialist whore and swallower of fascists gism is ready to renounce socialism for Islam?

And the "ballooning deficits" are created by what, again? Big Government raising taxes to pay for unconstitutional expenditures? Amazing. Less than 4% of our GNP is being spent to secure our way of life and 1% of our population is spending that money. You do the math. Which part of our nation is spending the rest on what and who does it benefit? "Cloudy" is an idiot.

I then made a comment and the poor thing got upset about it and made a comment and I informed the fool that debating with a socialist is a waste of time. I told IT that nothing socialism has to offer can be reconciled with the United States Constitution. IT replied:

There isn't one socialist or communist nation or government that has the prestige and economy that can remotely compare to the United States on an equal par on any subject or any issue. The self-deluded "progressive" - be they individual socialists or an American political party such as the Democrat Party - despise freedom and all freedom represents because they cannot control it. Freedom must be defeated in their view.

The Battlefield for our nation's survival is not within the Presidency of this nation - it is within the local, state and federal houses of representatives.
