A NEWT ONE-THE TRUTH SURGE
During the Clinton administration, all we heard about was how great the economy supposedly was. The record low unemployment rates were always one of the figures touted.

Yet, as soon as George W Bush became President, all of a sudden we started playing by a different set of rules.

In the fall of 1996, Slick Willy was running for reelection on a so-called nirvana economy, with an unemployment rate of 5.9%. Yet, today, despite all the oil shocks and credit crunches, our current National unemployment rate sits at at a rate of 4.95%. That is just shy of a full percentage point better than nirvana.

Despite all of the doom and gloom, the Bush economy is not in a recession. In fact, the Bush economy has grown each month that his economic plan has been in effect-77 in a row. If you compare the average rate of growth of that period to the average growth during the time that Clintononomics was in effect, Bush blows slick willy away.

In April, 362,000 jobs were added to our economy according to the more reliable household survey. The household survey much more accurately reflects our modern economy- awash with small business and entrepreneurial jobs. Our unemployment rate dropped to 4.5%. Once again, a testament to the strongest and most resilient economy probably in our nation's history.

So, why isn't the Bush economy getting a fair shake? Quite simply, the left wing, fascist media is determined that it isn't going to.

Leading every story with "Most people think we are on the wrong track" or "Many Americans beleive we are in a recession", they stoke fear, rather than just reporting facts.

Is our economy struggling? Yes. Is a recession possible in 2009? Absolutely, especially with a Democratic President. Yet, rather than take an honest look at the problems and fix them (something Bush has done for 7 years), Liberals and the media want to play gotcha politics and capitalize on people's pain.
