Sahih BukhariVolume 5, Book 59, Number 537

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

On the day of Khaibar, Allah's Apostle divided (the war booty of Khaibar) with the ratio of two shares for the horse and one-share for the foot soldier. (The sub-narrator, Nafi' explained this, saying, "If a man had a horse, he was given three shares and if he had no horse, then he was given one share.")

SNOOPER POSTED IT & YOU WATCHED IT HERE
Now read how the left is throwing a fit:
"What's worse than John McCain's dishonest ad? Finding out he had another, equally dishonest ad ready to air if Obama DID visit the hospital. He just wasn't going to be honest with American voters no matter what happened, and now everybody knows it, even the press he calls his "base." He'll never live it down." -- Kagro X, Daily Kos

[Boo hoo! --JZ]

Dear Supporter,

The traditional press is up in arms over John McCain's latest dishonest ad attacking Barack Obama. MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell called the ad "completely wrong, factually wrong!" The New York Times said it was "a false account of what occurred." And The Washington Post said the ad offered "no evidence" to support McCain's claims.

McCain must disavow this ad and make sure it never airs again. We won't let this race degenerate into ad distortions like the last election; we won't be silent in the face of lies. That's why we created this video entitled When McCain Attacks.

Watch the video and sign the petition.

Help end McCain's campaign of dishonesty. Sign our petition to compel McCain to disavow this ad and yank it from the air. Then send it to all your friends, family members, and colleagues. Tell them to spread it to everyone they know, and Digg it!

Hurry, because we're already seeing McCain's lies insidiously spread by other news outlets. Join us in declaring that we've had enough lies and dishonesty, we're ready for a new kind of politics.

Yours,
Robert Greenwald
and the Brave New team

~Snooper~

One of our contributors to A Newt One, JPA Live and owner/operator of the Joshua P Allem blog, published a post located here entitled, Bill O'Reilly, Laura Ingraham & Charles Krauthammer On Obama's Speech In Berlin. It is a video worth viewing. What is relevant here is a particular individual that has commented on this post. The comments URL is here if you care to check it out as I am sure that there may be more to follow.

As is the norm and usual for the zombies which have blindly subverted themselves to The One Czarbama, Eric has tried to make a point but, the point is actually a dull. He started out complaining about the inference that Czarbama chose to opine and orate from a location which Hitler made his move(s) to bring in the reign of Nazi Germany.

Czarbama has the uncanny ability, as did Hitler and other tyrannical despots, to cause others to swoon and squeal at his very presence and the sound of his voice. He appeals to the emotion and not the intellect. Every single topic or issue that The One rambles on about cannot be reconciled with the United States Constitution. Not one.

At any rate, the post by JPA got this particular trolls' attention and got the dander up. Here are the comments, by and large:
Eric: Origin of the Berlin Victory Column

en.wikipedia.com

Designed by Heinrich Strack after 1864 to commemorate the Prussian victory in the Danish-Prussian War, by the time it was inaugurated on 2 September 1873, Prussia had also defeated Austria in the Austro-Prussian War (1866) and France in the Franco-Prussian War (1870–71), giving the statue a new purpose.

-Basically any monument in Berlin can be attributed to having a connection to Hitler, but as the excerpt states the monument in no way can be attributed to Nazi architecture.

Snooper: I don't know about that. Albert Speer may disagree.

Eric: I don't think the Architect would disagree that the the victory column was a Prussian symbol and not a Nazi symbol. Besides, do you really think that Barack Obama was trying to emulate Hitler or Hess by speaking there? That is a pretty big logical leap considering it is a monument in the heart of Berlin in front of a large plaza perfect for giving speeches...

Snooper: Czarbamas' very tonal inflections tell the tale and his Marxism/Fascism is obvious even to the oblivious. The oblivious just cannot come out and openly admit it.

Eric: Your ignorance is obvious even to the oblivious when you use the phrase "marxism/fascism." By saying that you are revealing the true shallowness in your political scientific understanding. Further, after living eight years in a Bush administration, for any conservative to call a Democrat a totalitarian is way beyond the pot calling the kettle black.

Soonlit: Notice that "Eric" the dork has no particular support for his idiocy.

Snooper: This is going to be a BEAUTIFUL blog post! PLEASE do not remove/delete this idiotic comment.

Thanks.
And thus, the makings of this post. In my readings and studies of Nazi Germany and knowing that Albert Speer was Adolf's architect, he many times absolutely marveled as to how appropriate the Berlin Victory Column was to represent the new Germany. The world historians know this and those that worship Nazi Germany's Adolf Hitler also know this. Seeing that I do not believe in coincidences and knowing what I do know about the Czarbama due to what I do not know about the Czarbama, I can only conclude that he too knows the history of the location he chose from which to berate, abase and trash the country of which he wants to rule.

At first he tried to opine from the Brandenburg Gate which is reserved for Heads of State and it was refused him...he, Czarbama, is not a Head of State. His arrogance precedes him. His speech was all about himself, that much is clear.

Eric asked the question "do you really think that Barack Obama was trying to emulate Hitler or Hess by speaking there?" and then stated that the location was perfect for giving speeches. It may be a good location for opining but for a possible future Head of State to state similar sentiments that Hitler did from that location should be a wake up call. As a matter of fact, it was and is. Czarbama fell flat on his trip and his speech from the Hitler Hall of Shame is what did it to him. He is a victim of his own self-perceived greatness.

What the swallowers of Czarbama's lap left overs fail to recognize is their own inability to see that which is obvious. What has Czarbama accomplished in his life? What qualifies Czarbama to be POTUS? His 143 days as a US Senator? His shady political, business and personal dealings in Chicago? His experiences as an Illinois politician where he rarely actually showed up to do anything constructive? Is it his associations with known anti-Americanists and his communist mentors? Is it his fawning all over the tenets of one Saul Alinsky? Is it his view that it is OK to kill a baby born from a failed abortion? Is it his Marxist/Fascist ideals? What exactly has Czarbama actually accomplished that qualifies him to become the 44th POTUS?

The answer, naturally, is nothing. Not one Czarbamaite has been able to produce one thing that even comes close to revealing a qualifying factor. Perhaps it is his Civilian National Security Forces that qualifies him to become POTUS. Yes? No?

Eric seems to think, from his comment above, that Czarbama isn't a Marxist/Fascist but President Bush is. He offered no qualifying data other than a "pissed off" blathering. That is typical of the emotional moonbat and Czarbama lap licker. The moonbats of Czarbama have yet to present any evidence that the Bush Administration is a Fascist anything. Not one. Why? Because they cannot. Why? Because there isn't any.

The Democrat Party in the United States are indeed totalitarian and the proof in the pudding is the recent actions or inactions by one Nancy Pelosi in regards to the current fuel cost crisis that 70%+ Americans are demanding to be addressed. She, in essence, said that she didn't care about the American People demands and voted to go on vacation and that the bill to address the issue would not be reviewed under her watch. and THAT is tyrannical.

The American People spoke and she ignored them even though she PROMISED the American People back in 2006 that SHE would lower the fuel costs...they have DOUBLED under her watch and she doesn't give a damn. He partners even said that even when fuel is $10 per gallon, they will still NOT do anything about it.

And THAT is totalitarian and Czarbama subscribes to that attitude.

In conclusion, Snooper kicks another moonbat Czarbama troll to the curb. Feel free to kick it and throw dirt in its pathetic face.

One thing I have always tried to do at A Newt One is maintain my objectivity when analyzing polling data. Even the (very few) times that I have missed, it was based on solid assumptions.

It is getting very difficult to do that this year because the polls are so schizophrenic.

Many have observed that this is the first time in decades that the incumbent President or Vice-President isn't running and that is the reason. Well, it is part of the reason- but only part.

When Adlai Stevenson ran to succeed his party's very unpopular President-Harry Truman, He ran against decorated hero Dwight Eisenhower. It wasn't really hard to figure out which way that one was going to go.

This year is something different. In strictly generic terms, it is considered almost a can't miss year for the Democrats. Conventional wisdom was that the Democrats could nominate a complete moronic imbecile and still win the White House. The Democrats have apparently set out to test that hypothesis. In a year when they desperately want to win the White House, they have decided to nominate the one person least likely to accomplish that goal.

On the other hand, the GOP-from strictly the standpoint of winning- are about to nominate the guy that gives them the best chance. It is, as Dick Morris put it, a guy who can't win on the team that can't lose vs the guy who can't lose on the team that can't win.

As a result, the polls are all over the map. The Gallup poll, for instance, has gone everywhere from an Obama 9 point lead to a 4 point lead for McCain just in July. As I have tried to tell you what the polls are saying, I fear that I have begun to sound like I have MPD. It's not me, it's the polls. One minute they show McCain leading in all 4 big battlegrounds-Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Florida. The next minute he has lost all those leads and is also losing in Montana, Virginia, Nevada, Colorado, Iowa and New Mexico and fighting for his life in The Dakotas.

The polls are sending not just mixed signals but contradictory ones. All because of the paradoxical, once in a lifetime election scenario. The Jockey who can't win riding the horse that can't lose vs The Jockey who can't lose riding the horse who can't win.

What makes this so maddening is that the assumption that that means a nail biter is just plain wrong. On the one hand, if this election is really about the two guys running, then the Democrats are in trouble. The star-power persona the media is trying to gin up just plain is not selling on Main street. Obama is in deep trouble among all sorts of Demographics- Whites, Over 40, Married people, Church goers..... If the election is McCain vs Obama, Obama loses and loses big.

If however, the election is between McCain's message of experience vs Obama's message of change, the Republicans are in trouble. Which is it going to be? I don't think anyone has the foggiest idea.....and the polls are showing it. Sometimes, the same polls!

Case in point is Rasmussen.

Right now, Rasmussen shows only 7 states as safe for John McCain-
Alabama, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming. Rasmussen State polling has recently shown all of the following 2004 Bush Red States as states that McCain is statistically tied or behind in, in the RR poll, include Montana, both Dakotas, Virginia, North Carolina, New Mexico, Iowa, Colorado, Nevada, Ohio and Florida. If McCain is truly struggling in all those states, you can just flat-out stick a fork in him because he is done. That is really all there is to it.

Yet, when you look at those polls, it is fair to make some objective assumptions and use those assumptions to make predictions. Most of those states are Base Red States. Logic would dictate that if the Republican is doing poorly in the Red States, he must be doing really poorly in the Purple (Battleground ) States and must, logically, be getting just massacred in the Blue states.
As a result of doing so badly, in so many places, his national numbers would just be horrendous.

In short, if McCain is struggling in Montana and the Dakotas, his campaign has entered a state of serious meltdown that should be reflected in his national numbers. Not only the numbers, themselves, but in the internal numbers, among all sorts of demographic groups.

Obama, on the other hand, would be expected to show almost universal strength across all demographics and have-to say the least- a double digit national lead with a horse race number in the range of 55% minimum.

The problem is, folks, that the numbers-right now- just flat out do not show that.

Not only do the horse race numbers show a very competitive 48%-46% match up, McCain's favorable numbers have exceeded 55% almost all year.

Where things get really bizarre is that it appears to be Obama- not McCain who is having all the
Demographic problems. We have recounted many of them here.

Obama's favorablity among Whites is about 40% and he lags by 8 points among men. McCain is doing considerably better among Republicans (86%) than Obama is doing among Democrats (78%). Further, McCain is doing better among Democrats than Obama is doing among Republicans. Among committed unaffiliated voters, the two candidates are even.

Among the 14% of uncommitted voters, 33% are Democrats while only 19% are Republicans. Among those uncommitteds, 26% are leaning towards McCain while only 19% prefer Obama, even though, in Congressional races, that same group prefers Democrats 37-22.

That last point deserves to be re-emphasized. Among the 14% of the populous, that considers themselves uncommitted, is a preference for congressional democrats by 15 points but-at the same time- a preference for John McCain by 7 points.

I had to read it 3 times myself.

So, let's review. McCain is getting almost 90% support from Republicans while Obama is getting less than 80% support from Democrats. Among Committed Unaffiliateds, they are even and among all uncommitted voters, there is a small but discernible trend towards McCain.......

....and by the way, McCain is in trouble in Montana, North and South Dakota, Florida, Ohio, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Iowa, North Carolina and Virginia.

Huh?

That doesn't even make sense.

Ahh, but that was just with what I had read through Yesterday. Now, check
this out- from Dick Morris;

If soccer moms determined the outcome of the 1996 presidential race and security moms tipped the balance in 2004, it is beginning to look as if older moms are the key to the 2008 contest. Obama has a problem among women over 40 and a big problem among women over 50. These groups, normally the staunchest of Democratic supporters, are showing a propensity to back McCain.

According to the latest Fox News survey, Obama is winning among women under 40 by 13 points, but McCain is winning among women aged 41-45 by four points. Among women 50 and over, McCain is three points ahead. Obama's 48-35 lead among women under 40 is normal for a Democrat, but to trail among women in their 40s by 45-41 and by women over 50 by 38-35 is extraordinary.
The problem is that older women don't like Obama as much as younger women do. While 70 percent of women under 40 have a favorable opinion of the Democratic candidate, only 58 percent of women in their 40s feel the same way, and only 52 percent of those over 50 view him favorably.

For a Democrat to be losing among women over 40 is without precedent in the past 20 years.

and this from Today's Rasmussen;

Thirty percent (30%) of conservative Democrats say they're voting for John McCain. Rasmussen Reports data also shows the Republican hopeful picking up support from 19% of White Democrats and 15% of Democrats over the age of 50......................

While Obama is losing some Democratic voters, he begins with a significant advantage over McCain by virtue of the fact that there are far more Democrats in the country than Republicans.

So, the conclusion is being made that although Obama's percentage of support among core constituencies is significantly weaker- across the board, it matters not because the total numbers of voters offset that.

A very dangerous assumption indeed. For if Obama has (in the words of Morris) unprecedented weakness among certain core groups, isn't it a bit disingenous to just assume that those groups will show up in record numbers and vote overwhelmingly for Obama?

If, as expected, Democrats do indeed produce countless multitudes of exactly the right kinds of voters- young, black, women, singles, atheists, traitors, gays, anarchists.... Obama can win this comfortably. If however, they do not dwarf the number of Conservative, military, white, family voters, religious, married, seniors, catholics, evangelicals....

I don't mean beat them, I mean dwarf them, Obama is in deep trouble.

I said in June that if McCain truly is losing in Montana and Virginia He is toast. I stand by that statement. but is he? I'm having serious doubts. Again, Scott Rasmussen says that although Obama is losing support among Democrats, there are far more Democrats in number.

We have heard that before.

In 2004, we were told that millions of new Democrat registrations would mean they would smother Republicans in turnout. Um, didn't happen. They are predicting it again this year. Will this be the year of the young voter? Apparently, Rasmussen thinks so. Remember that increased voter registration rolls mean nothing if those voters don't show up. We don't know if they will or won't. All that we do know is that McCain needs a running mate that maximizes the ticket's appeal.

Let's remember that it was in the late Democratic primaries where Obama got drilled in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Will the same older, married, White voters who soundly rejected him then, embrace him now?

McCain needs a running mate that can give Conservative Democrats, disgruntled Hillary supporters, supporters of drilling, reformers, young people, white women, troop supporters, religious, family values voters and unaffiliated voters longing for change to get excited about.

Scott Rasmussen was right. There is only one person McCain can choose if he wants to win this race. Sarah Palin. With the added energy and Demographic pluses, Sarah Palin could turn this race upside down. All of the data shows that.

I will begin this posting with the issue of illegal immigration because we MUST take our country back or at least get started by actually giving a damn and getting active. Our government agencies assigned the task of enforcing CURRENT federal and state laws are failing miserably due to the Political Correctness Nazi Oxymorons.

I was going to write an analysis of the current procedures but Yid With Lid beat me to it so here is is:
If a camel is a horse put together by a government bureaucracy, this new immigration policy is one UGLY camel. ICE has developed a new strategy to solve the Illegal Immigrant problem in the United States--TURN YOURSELF IN! Gee why didn't I think of that. All the illegal immigrants have to do is turn themselves in and ICE will deport them. Now how did they figure that out? You mean to tell me the ONLY reason we have 12 Million Illegal Aliens in this country is that NO ONE ASKED THEM TO LEAVE? You gotta love bureaucracy. If this works, I understand the CIA is going to ask Bin Laden to turn himself in. [...]
Good God Almighty. In light of the Danielle Bologna case that JimmyZ has been on top of, Breitbart comes out with a news flash in regards to illegal aliens dressing up as cops performing home invasions and torturing their victims here in Texas. This is why I wear my firearms even while in my own home. I am always armed.

WND writes on this self-deportation policy as well and I must consider whether or not the inmates are running the federal asylum. Who thinks of crap like this and why are they still employed, sucking down US tax dollars for wages or salaries? This is purely insane.

Earlier, I made mention of the latest incident involving Danielle Bologna and now, Bash at Pat Dollard dot com brings us news that the Minute Men are adamantly seeking and demanding the immediate resignation of San Fran Wacko Pelosi Bizarro Worlds' Mayor. Folks want his head placed on a petard. I don't blame them one bit.
[...] Jim Gilcrest of The Minuteman Project was just on Fox News talking about the demonstration that turned confrontational when a bunch of pro-illegal, pro-sanctuary pukes showed up shouting "Go home racists!"

Hey! How about you go home, and come in through the front door like so many of the law-abiding immigrants have, ya fukn criminal? [...]
You must check out the video Bash has placed on the blog. For other illegal alien and criminal behavior (other than being in this country illegally) coverage that ANO has written or the collection of others, go here.

In other news classified as War News, we have Hezbollah Brigades members captured in Baghdad and we also have Hezbollah forces taking control of a mountain peak in Lebanon where from that vantage point, they can monitor Israeli forces and US 6th Fleet movements. Just these two items are acts of war seeing that Hezbollah, Syria and Iran are all in bed together. Denying that is purely sticking your head where the air is not the best quality to breathe.

While on the subject of Syria and friends (including Nancy Logan Act Pelosi), there is now evidence that the WMDs that Iraq had were indeed shipped to Syria just like we have all been saying for how many years now?
A former American overseer of Iraqi prisons says several dozen inmates who were members of Saddam Hussein's military and intelligence forces boasted of helping transport weapons of mass destruction to Syria and Lebanon in the three months prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom. [...]
OOPS. In conjunction with that, does anyone remember that Israel destroyed a "certain target" in Syria where a few weeks or months before some "scientists" died of "mysterious means"? Oh. Wait. We aren't to speak of such things because the Truth will absolutely cause the libtards - the educated ones and the retarded ones - soil their underloos.

And, while we are on the topic of terrorists and other murderous thug bastards, apparently, the cowardly leaders of what is left of Al Qaeda (after being eviscerated by United States Armed Forces) have fled to Afghanistan. This is so typical. Just like our own Leftinistra Democrats and Republicans, they have to keep moving the Goal Posts to make it appear that they are relevant. Don't they know that we see right through them at all times?

Coupled with that news, it has come to our attention that Irans' Chief Fruit Loop is actually campaigning for the Leftinistra Democrats in this country, America. This coincides with what I have classified as Democrats and Terrorists - it is hard to differentiate between the two most of the time. The saddest part of that is this; no one knows who is talking to whom and who is listening to whom. Tying all this together in a neat little picture, Michelle M brings us this: Remember Saddam’s "baby milk factory"? Check out the Palestinian baby milk tunnels
Oh dear. Those tunnels the Palestinians have built under the Gaza strip, which the Israelis claim are being used to smuggle weapons to terrorists?

Yeah, well, it seems the Israelis were so totally wrong about that. They’re actually used to smuggle jugs of milk.

Hey, I was skeptical, too. But if you check out this link, you’ll see actual pictures of genuine Palestinian-looking people, in a tunnel, holding what appear to be jugs of milk.

Therefore these tunnels are never used to smuggle weapons. Case closed, I guess. Boy, is my face red. [...]
Sarcasm duly noted.

Sarcasm. I was going to make a sarcastic or smarmy comment on Pelosi again but, I'll just trash her because she is such a good target being a complete and total idiot. Remember a while back when we introduced her interview where she thanked the Iranians for bringin the peace in Iraq? Well, she was at it again a few days ago:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Monday welcomed a statement from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who said that his country would react positively if the U.S. were to soften its stance toward Iran.

Pelosi, who appeared on NBC's "Today Show" shortly after the network aired an exclusive interview with Ahmadinejad, said the comments she heard from the Iranian leader "represent an opening in terms of him saying he'll try to find common ground." [...]
The only common ground Iran (a known state sponsor of terrorism) and Pelosi might have is the destruction of Israel. Any questions?

In other terrorist news, I wonder why no one has heard from the Czarbama Camp in regards to the military actions in Afghanistan/Pakistan where a "high value" target was removed from the earth and granted 72 virgin gay Rotweillers for his efforts in the Al Qaeda war effort.

As Mooky Al So Sadrs' power ebbs, vanishes and whithers and dies in Iraq, we have our very own Leftinistra subversives absolutely refusing to give credit where credit is due and are actively trying to attribute the credit of the US Armed Services for themselves. After all, it has also been revealed that the Leftinistra actually did in fact embolden OBL and other terrorist groups which have sworn Americas' destruction. Then again, we are not to speak of these things because actually getting to the Truth just might unite this nation...as it was on 91201...until the election cycles began.

Hezbollah, under the direction of Syria and Iran, has commandeered Mount Sannine and established an early warning station capable of monitoring U.S. Sixth Fleet movements and Israeli Air Force flights.

Israel is keeping a close eye on this, as the ties deepen between Hezbollah and Syria.

Mount Sannine is considered a strategic location, and its takeover on the behalf of Iran places Israeli security at a significant disadvantage. Recent movements of the Hezbollah military in conjunction with Syria and Iran is being interpreted as preparations for war, and it seems that these forces are in position for a new Middle East confrontation.

If the current military units remain in place, in such a war, it places Israel at a grave strategic disadvantage.

Islam: Religion of peace.

Sahih BukhariVolume 5, Book 59, Number 521

Narrated Sahl bin Sad:

On the day of Khaibar, Allah's Apostle said, "Tomorrow I will give this flag to a man through whose hands Allah will give us victory. He loves Allah and His Apostle, and he is loved by Allah and His Apostle." The people remained that night, wondering as to who would be given it. In the morning the people went to Allah's Apostle and everyone of them was hopeful to receive it (i.e. the flag). The Prophet said, "Where is Ali bin Abi Talib?" It was said, "He is suffering from eye trouble O Allah's Apostle." He said, "Send for him." 'Ali was brought and Allah's Apostle spat in his eye and invoked good upon him. So 'Ali was cured as if he never had any trouble. Then the Prophet gave him the flag. 'Ali said "O Allah's Apostle! I will fight with them till they become like us." Allah's Apostle said, "Proceed and do not hurry. When you enter their territory, call them to embrace Islam and inform them of Allah's Rights which they should observe, for by Allah, even if a single man is led on the right path (of Islam) by Allah through you, then that will be better for you than the nice red camels.

It is a function of sacramental doctrine, not of poverty, deprivation, illiteracy or ignorance. Your committee and the congress should study the actual sources of terrorism, which include Surahs 8, 9, 33 & 59 of the Qur'an and these ahadith: Bukhari 1.7.331 & 4.52.220. INTERESTING SNIPPETS SHOW THAT THE OBAM-UH-UH-UH-UH TRAIN MAY BE STALLED

From HumanEvents.com:
The complete lack of movement in the national polls is good news for Sen. John McCain and bad news for Sen. Barack Obama, even as the Democrat continues to hold a modest lead.

First, a word of caution: National polls are generally given undue attention in the press. There is no national election, but rather 51 state elections. On that score, our Electoral College count shows a razor-thin Obama lead (273 to 265).

The usefulness in national polls is in getting rough ideas of a candidate's popularity, and more importantly as a judge of momentum. It is on this latter score that Obama needs to worry. On June 4, Rasmussen Reports released its first daily tracking poll of the general election (3,000 likely voters over three nights, with a margin of error of +/-2%), and it showed Obama 47%, McCain 45%. Fifty-seven days later, the Wednesday, July 30 poll showed Obama at 48% to McCain's 46% - virtually no movement. In the interim, neither candidate has shown movement outside the margin of error.
And from AFP, a piece called 'No Bounce From Obama Foreign Trip'
Barack Obama's barnstorming foreign trip did little to change the shape of his accelerating race for president with Republican John McCain, according to a new poll released Wednesday.

Obama led McCain 51 percent to 44 percent in the CNN/Opinion Research survey, the first national poll conducted entirely after his international campaign foray last week. He edged McCain 50 percent to 45 percent a month ago.

The survey also suggested that veteran Senator McCain still boasted an advantage when voters were asked which candidate they trusted most to deal with national security issues.

Some 56 percent of voters said McCain was best placed to handle terrorism, compared to 41 percent for first-term Senator Obama, who has improved his rating on the issue by just four percentage points since late April.

Now, I can't help but laugh my ass off, people! Can you imagine, after all that effort and planning and expense, the Obam-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh team finds out that the whole trip was a wash? The whole trip produced no bounce, even a temporary one? Man, that's funny as hell. --Jimmy Z

IBD repeated falsehood that Obama bill would levy "Global Tax" on U.S. taxpayers

Without going into a major explanation as to why Media Matters is full of scheisse, I do believe that Maggie has it all mapped out for yas. Quick and to the point, Czarbama would have the American People responsible for BILLIONS of dollars. The bill is Senate Bill 2433.

Great news for Republicans worried about a Democratic Senate Super-Majority! Another Republican, Roger Wicker, has come back from the dead. Two months ago, he was losing but now has a 9 point (52-43) lead. Wicker has raised his level of support among Republicans to an impressive 91% and leads 2 to 1 among unaffiliateds. This according to polling from Rasmussen.

This is very welcome news especially in light of Stevens' troubles in Alaska

Posted by your friend and mine, Jimmy Z

I enjoy getting these crazy emails from Moonbat activist groups. Rush Limbaugh was just saying today that Obam-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh’s candidacy isn’t so much about doing anything for America and her citizens, but getting BACK AT the Republicans who beat them in 2000 and 2004.

This email I just received is a great example of that. While Americans are dealing with the mortgage ‘crisis’ and the gasoline ‘crisis,’ the far left nitwits in Congress are dedicated to pushing their popularity deeper into the sewer.  Help America? NO! We gotta get Rove! Observe:

Dear Supporter: The campaign to Send Karl Rove to Jail just took a huge step forward! In a stunning action just minutes ago, the House Judiciary Committee voted to hold Rove in contempt. Brave New Films and our partners have been working steadily to maximize the impact of the petition. And we want to continue this fight, so please contribute so we can. Let's take a look at the campaign so far:

12 Days Ago: We launched Send Rove to Jail. You immediately recognized a crucial chance to hold Rove accountable for flagrantly breaking the law and you seized it, raising over 40,000 signatures in 24 hours!

9 Days Ago: CREDO Mobile took note of your efforts. They hopped on board and sent the petition to their subscribers, garnering tens of thousands more signatures.

5 Days Ago: We hit the 100,000 signature milestone, causing even more progressive groups to get involved, including Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, The Nation, Campaign for America's Future, Progress Now, and People for the American Way, the last of whom alone generated another 15,000 signatures.

Yesterday: Brave New Films Editorial Director ZP Heller hand delivered three petition boxes containing over 127,000 signatures to the House Judiciary Committee in Washington D.C. Together with our partners, we took our message directly to HJC member Linda Sanchez (D-CA), who was impressed by the sheer number of signatures. "I think it's ridiculous that Karl Rove thinks that he doesn't have to follow the law," Sanchez said. "And nobody in this country should be above the law."

Today: Sanchez led the HJC in a vote of contempt for Rove!

In just 12 days, your ability to sign and spread our petition led us from merely pointing out Rove's lawbreaking hubris to helping convince the HJC to vote him in contempt. Now help us take this fight to the full House. Contribute here so Brave New Films can remain vigilant in this battle. For it is not just about Rove; his case raises larger critical issues of holding lawbreakers accountable and advocating justice within the framework of our legal system.

Yours, Robert Greenwald and the Brave New team

Wonderful isn’t it? This is going to help Americans with their struggle during the economic ‘crises’ that we are facing. Stupid liberals. Good God. --JZ

“Jesse Jackson is somebody.” --Al Sharpton, forgiving Jesse for using the word ‘nigger’ when referencing Barack Obam-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh.

Rush has thought up a way for Ted Stevens to keep his job: He can change parties and the democrats never unload their criminals!  Ted can blame someone else for his problems, and democrats will back him up and thus he can keep his job.

Dick Morris has a piece in Real Clear Politics now analyzing the ‘women problem’ Barack Obama has. Very interesting.

Dear Libtards,

We know that it hurts that Czarbama is a consummate fraud but, get over it. We know that Czarbama's handlers cannot get their stories straight and once iin a while the truth slips out but, get over it. We know Czarbama lies more often a day than most blink their eyes in a day but, get over it.

Your Czarbama got got by his own fraudulent buffoonery over the "snubbing wounded soldiers by canceling a visit to a military hospital because he could not take reporters with him" and, as for that there is no evidence of it, THAT is the lie that your kind perpetuate and it is YOUR own doing that makes YOU look like the fools that YOU are but, get over it.

Idiots.

After 5 consecutive weeks of tightening, the Rasmussen Generic Congressional ballot widened by 4 points again, to a 13 point gap. Republicans cannot sustain any kind of consistent message because of the complete absence of a message. It's not that Democrats are not vulnerable on any number of issues, it's just that-frankly- Republican Congressional leaders like John Boehnner are incompetent morons.

The Presidential race continues to be a mystery, though.

Check out this data from RR;

When given a choice between Barack Obama and John McCain for President, 14%
of voters are uncommitted. That figure includes 6% who say they'd vote for some
other candidate and 8% who are undecided. But, while much has been made of
John McCain's struggles with his party's conservative base, 33% of the uncommitted voters are Democrats while only 19% are Republicans. Forty-eight percent (48%) are not affiliated with either major political party.

These results are from national telephone survey interviews conducted with 14,000 Likely Voters during the two weeks ending July 24. The sample includes 2,028 uncommitted voters. It's worth noting that there are far more uncommitted voters at this point in Election 2008 than there were four years ago.

The Election 2004 Presidential Tracking Poll showed that 92% of voters were committed to either President Bush or Senator Kerry on July 24, 2004. Only 8% were uncommitted. This year, 37% of the uncommitted voters plan to vote for a Democratic Congressional candidate while 22% say they'll vote for the GOP. But, when asked which way they're leaning in the race for the White House, 26% say McCain and 19% say Obama. Twenty percent (20%) say they still prefer a third-party candidate. Uncommitted Republicans are far more likely to lean towards McCain than uncommitted Democrats are to lean towards Obama.

This is very bizarre indeed. The media are trying to make the pitch that John McCain is having the harder time bringing his party home but the data is showing that that dog just don't hunt. In fact, Democrats are counting on increased turn out to offset their lagging numbers in support for the nominee.

Is it fair to question such logic? Turnout comes from energy. Energy comes from enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is clearly what the media is attempting to generate about Obama but it isn't selling. On the eve of August, Democratic support for Obama lags Democratic support for Obama by about 8 points.

Obama earns the vote from 78% of Democrats, McCain is supported by 86% of
Republicans, and unaffiliated voters are evenly divided. McCain leads 50% to 44%
among White voters and 51% to 43% among men.

These are not good numbers for Obama. If it can be said that McCain is lacking in enthusiastic Republican support, Obama's woes are just that much more amplified. In order to win, Obama will need a turnout that is disproportionately skewed-to a significant degree- to voters that support him- blacks, Hispanics, women and younger voters.

Larger proportions of unaffiliated swing voters, who usually break to the challenger are split right down the middle. This is due to the fact that McCain, though tied to the very unpopular Republican party, still has very high favorable numbers.

Overall national numbers, that have consistently shown McCain behind, have not done so because he compares unfavorable to Obama among the 3 classes of voters- Republicans, Democrats and Unaffiliateds. He is being shown behind because of the percentage of Democrats in that skew.

To illustrate, let's say that in a normal election year, of every 100 voters that pours into the average precinct in America, 35 are Democrats, 35 are Republicans and 30 are something else, McCain wins. This is because, while 30 out of every 35 of the Republicans vote for him, only 27 out of 35 Democrats vote for Obama. By being split, the unaffiliated vote is essentially muted.

If the above scenario- or something close to it-occurs, John McCain is going to be elected President.

Democrats, on the other hand, point to swelled voter rolls, especially among the young. This means-they insist- that that 100 voter group will have as much as 10 more Democrats in it than Republicans. Thus, even with lower per-voter support percentages, they will win by producing a greater number of voters.

That almost sounds like a contradictory argument. The party with the more highly supported nominee is usually the more motivated nominee and thus, will have the higher turnout. In this year, that would seem to favor McCain. The problem with that (as the data at the top of this article shows) is that Democrats and Unaffiliated voters are very motivated to harm the Republicans in general.

Democrats are assuming that higher turnout automatically means more votes against Republicans in general and, thus, more votes for Obama. However, data cited earlier in this article showed that the bulk of uncommitted voters-Democrats and unaffiliated voters- though they are breaking overwhelmingly (+15) for Democratic Congressional Candidates, are breaking strongly in the opposite direction (+7) on the Presidential ticket.

Let me re-emphasize. Uncommitted voters (that are 48% unaffiliated, 33% Democrat and only 19% Republican) are breaking towards McCain to a net 7 point advantage. That equates to about a 1 million vote advantage- more than enough to reverse the electoral results of 3 of the last 4 Presidential elections.

This has the potential to be very bad news for Camp Obama. For if the Undecideds are breaking to McCain, his only chance at victory is to turn out more partisan Democrats than partisan Republicans and undecideds combined.

That may be a tall order.

Another issue comes to mind. If current polling shows McCain at +8 in Republican/Democrat support and 0 to +1 in Unaffiliated support, than it is just impossible to believe polls showing McCain struggling in places like Montana, the Dakotas, North Carolina and Virginia.

Are we to seriously believe that Democrats have grown into such popularity in Montana that they now substantially out number Republicans? In Montana!?

Something has to give in these polls. They don't even make any sense anymore.

If Obama is having more difficulty consolidating his own base than McCain is, how can he possibly be leading in Montana? If State polling has used the structural assumption that more registered Democrats automatically means more Obama supporters, those polls need to be re-done. RR's own numbers have caused those assumptions into serious question.

What has resulted is a situation where I don't know if anybody can really get a bead on this election at all.
