In the process of updating Crusader's Armory, I discovered a significant oversight: my failure to include an important petition in the list. It is #5 in the updated list. Syed's petition is not easy on the eyes due to its lack of formatting, but it includes citations to the same ayat & ahadith I quote and more plus numerous quotes from Ishak & Tabari. It does not leave much to the imagination.

If there is someone you want to introduce to the fatal facts of Islam without boring them to death, introduce them to this petition: Muhammad, A Symbol Of Terrorism. Signing is quick, easy and free. It lets others know that they are not alone, that there is a growing number of people who recognize the existential threat posed by Islam and want to do something about it.

The Congress Debate Koran petition, with its html formatting, is easier to read and the quotes are linked for easy verification and contextual exploration. It now has 1073 signatures. Accruing those signatures has taken three years.
When the Muslims petition for censorship, they accrue hundreds of thousands of signatures very quickly because they are dedicated, persistent and organized. If we don't soon match their dedication, persistence and organization, we will suffer an ignominious defeat. For Chrissake, don't let that happen!!

Rush was armed by an interview with Newt Gingrich and triggered by a call from a Moron. The resulting rant was one of the best ever, if not the absolute best. Here is a small sample to whet your appetite for wisdom.

You know, all this sounds like Third Way kind of talk, the triangulation of the Clinton years in the nineties. But I don’t know what the McCain era would be, and I don’t know what the Huckabee coalition is. They don’t have a coalition. They’re out trying to get votes of independents and Democrats. They’re pandering to moderates and independents. Folks, I just want you to think about this: What happens if either of these two guys happen to win, attracting the votes of independents, moderates, the Jell-Os, and Democrats? Does that not equal the demise of the Republican Party?

Keith Bonnell wrote an excellent article, Commentator defends publishing controversial Muslim cartoons, about the case of Ezra Levant , who, as publisher of the Western Standard magazine, made eight of the infamous Danish Cartoons available to Canadian readers.

Ezra Levant has been hauled before the Alberta Human Rights Council to give account of his offense to Islam. A second complaint has been lodged against him for republishing the cartoons on his blog in answer to the complaint.

Mr. Levant videotaped the inquisition and has posted videos on his blog. He also posted a transcript of his opening statement and a copy of the original complaint. I urge you to read those documents. His statement is one of the best and clearest expressions of the right to free speech.

In theory, it can't happen here in the U.S.A., because of first amendment protection. In reality, it can and probably will, because of the corruption of our Judicial system. We owe it to ourselves and to futurity to stand up and scream curses, disrespectfully demanding the preservation of our rights before that happens.

The chief proponent of censorship is the United Nations, which resolved to ban criticism of Islam Dec. 24 last. Now is the time to get the U.S.A. out of the U.N. and the U.N. out of the U.S.A., while we still have the right to petition for redress of grievances. If you have not yet endorsed the Quit the U.N. petition, please do so now and email it to all your friends, asking them to endorse it and pass it on. Likewise the Outlaw Islam petition. Muslim Charter of Misrepresentation

Thursday, January 10, 2008 saw the signing by representatives of 400 European Muslim organizations, of a Charter of European Muslim Understanding, whose text you may read at UpPompeii. The charter is the work of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe.

Let us critically examine some critical provisions of the charter. Section 1, Article 5: [Emphasis added for clarity.]

5. Islam has honoured human beings as stewards of the earth. This honour embraces all the children of Adam, both male and female, without discrimination. By virtue of this honour, human beings are to be protected from anything that is an affront to their dignity, is harmful to their mental faculties, is damaging to their health or which abuses their rights by exploiting their vulnerabilities.

All human beings, male and female are equal, without discrimination. All are to be protected from affront to dignity and physical harm; their vulnerabilities are not to be exploited. Is there any truth in those statements? By what standard and what evidence shall we judge this matter?

1. Our understanding of Islam is based on immutable principles that are derived from the authentic sources of Islam: the Qur'an and the Prophetic traditions (Sunnah), within the framework of consensus with consideration for the time factor as well as the specifics of the European reality.

What does Allah, in his Qur'an tell us about the dignity of women?

2:223. Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth (have sexual relations with your wives in any manner as long as it is in the vagina and not in the anus), [...]
4:11. Allâh commands you as regards your children's (inheritance); to the male, a portion equal to that of two females; [...]
2:282. [...]And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her. [...]

What do the traditions testify to the dignity of women?

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 6, Number 301: [...]The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion." [...]

What of the dignity of disbelievers; what did Allah say?

8:22. Verily! The worst of (moving) living creatures with Allâh are the deaf and the dumb, those who understand not (i.e. the disbelievers).
2:65. And indeed you knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday). We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected."
3:112. Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men; they have drawn on themselves the Wrath of Allâh, and destruction is put over them. This is because they disbelieved in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh and killed the Prophets without right. This is because they disobeyed (Allâh) and used to transgress beyond bounds (in Allâh's disobedience, crimes and sins).
9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

And what did Moe testify to our dignity?

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387:

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah."

Dignity, equality, protection; three strikes and yer out!!

7. Islam calls for equality between man and woman within the framework of mutual respect and views that a balanced life is one in which the relationship between man and woman is harmonious and complementary. It unequivocally rejects all notions or actions that undermine women or deprive them of their legitimate rights, regardless of some customs or habits of some Muslims. Islam strongly opposes the exploitation of women and their treatment as mere objects of desire.

Is that true? What did Allah say about that?

4:24. Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (captives and slaves) whom your right hands possess. [...]
Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 59, Number 459:

Narrated Ibn Muhairiz:

I entered the Mosque and saw Abu Said Al-Khudri and sat beside him and asked him about Al-Azl (i.e. coitus interruptus). Abu Said said, "We went out with Allah's Apostle for the Ghazwa of Banu Al-Mustaliq and we received captives from among the Arab captives and we desired women and celibacy became hard on us and we loved to do coitus interruptus. So when we intended to do coitus interrupt us, we said, 'How can we do coitus interruptus before asking Allah's Apostle who is present among us?" We asked (him) about it and he said, 'It is better for you not to do so, for if any soul (till the Day of Resurrection) is predestined to exist, it will exist."

9. Islam respects human rights and calls for equality among all human beings, it rejects all forms of racial discrimination and emphasises the importance of liberty. Hence it condemns compulsion in religion and allows the individual freedom of conscience. Furthermore, Islam encourages that freedom ought to be exercised in accordance with moral values and respect for law, such that it does not infringe upon the rights of others.

What did Moe say about discrimination?

Sahih Muslim Book 020, Number 4476:

It has been narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: The Caliphate will remain among the Quraish even if only two persons are left (on the earth),

And what of compulsion? [See 9:29 cited above.]

Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Number 80:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Verse:--"You (true Muslims) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind." means, the best of peoples for the people, as you bring them with chains on their necks till they embrace Islam.

10. Islam calls for mutual acquaintance between people, dialogue and co-operation among people and nations so as to enhance co-existence and achieve peace in the world. The term Jihad that occurs in Islamic texts means to exert all efforts towards good, starting from reforming oneself to spreading truth and justice between people. Jihad in its understanding as warfare is regarded as one of the means available to a Muslim state when it needs to defend itself against aggression. This is in compliance with international law. Based on such an understanding of Jihad, Islam rejects indiscriminate violence and terrorism and supports just causes and affirms the right of all people to defend themselves by legitimate means.

What did Allah say?

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. [...]
9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
9:123. O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allâh is with those who are the Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2).

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: I am commanded to fight with men till they testify that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and His Apostle, face our qiblah (direction of prayer), eat what we slaughter, and pray like us. When they do that, their life and property are unlawful for us except what is due to them. They will have the same rights as the Muslims have, and have the same responsibilities as the Muslims have.

Now we know that Islam remains true to form, contstant in its practice of al-Taqeyya. There is no truth in it!

Four Blind Fools

Most of the Republican aspirants made fools of themselves in ABC's "debate" Saturday night. I will quote them out of context. To see the quotes in context, click this link to the transcript.

I'll pick on Governor Romney first.

But we're going to have to move our strategy from simply being a respond to military threat with military action to an effort that says we're going to use our military and nonmilitary resources -- nonmilitary resources -- combined with other nations who are our friends to help move the world of Islam toward modernity and moderation.

The Governor exposes abject ignorance of Islam. As defined by its canon of scripture & tradition, Islam is intolerant, militant, violent & imperialistic. And irreformable.

The new mission for NATO and for other nations is to help provide the rule of law, education that's not through madrassas, agricultural and economic policies that can be instilled in various Islamic countries, so the Muslims are able to reject the extreme and the terrorists.

It is not possible to reject terrorism without rejecting Islam; terrorism is an intrinsic sacrament of the murder cult, sanctified by 3:151, commanded by 8:12 and exemplified in 33:26-27 & 59:2 and confirmed by Bukhari 4.52.220 and 1.7.331. Likewise, genocide is commanded in 8:67 & 47:4 and confirmed by Abu Dawud 38.4390.

We do need -- I agree with what the mayor said -- we need to add to our military by at least 100,000 troops. But the answer is to move now to a second phase, a phase of helping Muslims become so strong they can reject the extreme.

Strengthen our enemy and then what? They'll attack us with renewed vigor and ability, that's what!! They can not reject the command to fight Jews & Christians until we are subdued and pay extortion. That command is clearly stated in 9:29 and confirmed by Bukhari 1.8.387 and 4.53.386. Muslims can not reject Islam's damnable doctrines without rejecting Islam!

I'd read what they write to one another. And that's why when someone like Sayyid Qutb lays out the philosophy of radical jihadism and says, "We want to kill..."

Qutb did not invent Islamic doctrine which mandates Jihad, terror & genocide, Moe did.[Citations in previous comment.] Romney does not know this fatal fact because he has not read Islam's canon of scripture & tradition. Neither has he read Islamic law, which far predates Qutb, and declares that "The Caliph makes war upon Jews and Christians." [Reliance of the Traveler: Book O, Ch. 9, Section 8.]

The reason -- why did they kill Madam Bhutto? It has nothing to do with us. This has to do with a battle that is going on within the world of Islam, of radical, violent jihadists trying to bring down all moderate Islamic people and nations and replace them with a religious caliphate.

So close, yet so far from comprehending the truth! He does not understand that Allah commands Muslims to conquer the entire world.

Next, I'll take on Mayor Giuliani.

It seems to me, if you don't face this squarely -- there's an Islamic, terrorism threat against us. It's an existential threat. It has nothing to do with our foreign policy. It has to do with their ideas, their theories, the things that they have done and the way they've perverted their religion into a hatred of us.

But they have not perverted their religion into hatred! Islam is perpetual war, not a religion! Like Gov. Romney, the Mayor is ignorant of Islam. He does not know that Moe, speaking for Allah, commanded Muslims to make war on Pagans until only Allah is worshiped and to make war on Jews & Christians until we are subdued and pay extortion.

And what's at stake are the things that are best about us: our freedom of religion, our freedom for women, our right to vote, our free economic system. Our foreign policy is irrelevant -- totally irrelevant. If you read what they write, if you bother to listen to what they say, this comes out of their own perverted thinking.

No, Mr. Mayor, it comes directly from Islam's canon of scripture & tradition: Qur'an & Hadith, which I have cited in a previous comment. Those ayat & ahadith are the basis of Islamic law, also previously cited. "The Caliph makes war..." these politicians don't get it.

It is important to make this point. Just the opposite, Ron. I have great respect for the Islamic religion. I have great respect for the Arab world, for the Middle East.

I think we should be closer to them. I think we should trade more with them. I think we should have cultural exchanges with them.

The overwhelming majority of the Islamic world...

... and on the evening of September 11, 2001, the day my city was attacked, I got on television, and I said to the people of my city, "We're not going to engage in group blame. This is a small group of people. This does not typify a great religion and a great people."

The mayor repeated one lie twice "I think". A thinking man would not make the statements to which I added bold face.

Next, Congressman Paul.

Let me try to explain so you can understand this better.
Try to visualize how we would react if they did that to us, if a country, say China, came that great distance across the ocean, and they say, "We want you to live like us. We want you to have our economic system. We want bases on your land. We want to protect our oil."

Even if we do that with good intentions -- even if the Chinese did that with good intentions, we would all be together and we'd be furious.

Blame America first, unaware of Allah's demonic commands; unaware of Moe's 86 conquests, unaware of the conquest of Yemen, Syria, North Africa, Greece, Spain, Turkey, Albania & India, all of which preceded the discovery & pumping of oil in the region.

There's always a radical element in almost all religions. They have to have an incentive. We give them that incentive.
The question that you don't -- aren't willing to ask is, why is it that they attack America? I mean, they don't attack the Canadians. They don't attack the Swiss. If it were merely because they wanted to go into Europe, why do they...

Blame America first. Radical element? Show me where in the Gospels & Book of Acts Jesus commands his disciples to make war. Show me where he leads them into battle. Show me where he commands them to engage in genocide and terrify their victims. Religion is defined by the rule--divine command--not the violation thereof.

You paint all Islamics... ... the same way, and this is a dangerous thing... What you're doing is damaging our relationship by destroying our relationship with all Muslims. That's what you're doing.

Our relationship to Muslims is prey: predator. Remember, Moe declared open season. You don't remember, Congressman? The fact is when there is a serious threat to this country, it is not a threat because we happen to be peace-loving people. It's a threat because in the heart of the radical Islamic faith -- not all Islam, and that's what's very important.

Radical Islamic faith? Not all Islam? Another damned fool pontificating from the pedestal of ignorance. Jihad, genocide & terror are standard Islam, recited and exemplified by Moe; they are not exceptional.

This isn't an Islamic problem. This is a jihadist problem. This is an Islamo-fascism problem.

And if you read the writings of those who most influenced -- and Governor Romney mentioned Sayyid Qutb, executed in Egypt in 1966. He is one of the major philosophers behind this.

And the fact is, there is nothing about our attacking them that prompts this. They are prompted by the fact they believe that they must establish a worldwide caliphate that has nothing to do with us other than we live and breathe and their intention is to destroy us.

Why won't you read the writings of the founder of Islam, Governor? Because you haven't read the Qur'an & Hadith, you are abysmally ignorant of Islam and mislead those you seek to govern.

These are the blind leading the blind; no more worthy or well qualified to lead this nation than the Democrat aspirants. I will cast my vote for Fred Thompson. If one of the others is nominated, I will do another write in.

U.N. Bans Criticism of Islam

On Tuesday, December 24, 2007, The United Nations General Assembly, passed by a vote of 108 to 51; 25 members abstaining, a resolution of the most despicable hypocrisy. " Combating defamation of religions".

In fact, the title is the first lie; only Islam is of interest to the General Assembly. The resolution was sponsored by Pakistan with the support of the OIC.

Herein you will find excerpts taken out of context, in block quotes, followed by my comments. Note that the resolution is one long run on sentence worthy of Faulkner. [Emphasis added.]

Recalling that all States have pledged themselves, under the Charter of the
United Nations, to promote and encourage universal respect for and observance of
all human rights and fundamental freedoms without distinction as to race, sex,
language or religion,

How about the right to live unmolested, secure in one's person & property, and to believe and worship or disbelieve and abstain from worship as one sees fit? These fundamental rights are denied by Islam. Allah said:

And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do. 8:39

What institution directly contravenes the rights above referenced? The very institution we are exhorted to protect from defamation: Islam! The resolution reeks of hypocrisy.

We shall not build, in our cities or in their neighborhood, new monasteries, Churches, convents, or monks' cells, nor shall we repair, by day or by night, such of them as fall in ruins or are situated in the quarters of the Muslims.
We shall not manifest our religion publicly nor convert anyone to it. We shall not prevent any of our kin from entering Islam if they wish it.
We shall show respect toward the Muslims, and we shall rise from our seats when they wish to sit.
We shall not display our crosses or our books in the roads or markets of the Muslims. We shall use only clappers in our churches very softly. We shall not raise our voices when following our dead. Although last year was accompanied with many injustices , aggressions , and many violation of rights , but the calls and outcries of begging and imploring from God and Demanding justice were louder . Day by day , nations would realize the power of faith and godliness . He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die. The Muslims will pray over him.

Justice is Islam, established by fighting, which results in death & dispossession of all who oppose it. And Jesus Christ is to return to participate in it, yeah, right.

The caliph (o-25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o-11.4) -which is the significance of their paying it, not the money itself-while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O: and the war continues) until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High,
"Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled" (Koran 9.29),
the time and place for which is before the final descent of Jesus (upon whom be peace). After his final coming, nothing but Islam will be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus' descent (upon him and our Prophet be peace), which is the divinely revealed law of Muhammad. The coming of Jesus does not entail a separate divinely revealed law, for he will rule by the law of Muhammad. As for the Prophet's saying (Allah bless him and give him peace),
"I am the last, there will be no prophet after me,"
this does not contradict the final coming of Jesus (upon whom be peace), since he will not rule according to the Evangel, but as a follower of our Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) ).

The caliph fights all other peoples until they become Muslim (O: because they are not a people with a Book, nor honored as such, and are not permitted to settle with paying the poll tax (jizya) ) (n: though according to the Hanafi school, peoples of all other religions, even idol worshippers, are permitted to live under the protection of the Islamic state if they either become Muslim or agree to pay the poll tax, the sole exceptions to which are apostates from Islam and idol worshippers who are Arabs, neither of whom has any choice but becoming Muslim (al-Hidaya sharh Bidaya al-mubtadi' (y-21), 6.48-49) ).

Today 's status quo of the world is obvious of everyone . In Palestine , Iraq , Afghanistan , Africa , and South America and even in Europe and North America , due to the interests of despotic dominant rulers ' Parties and clans and also for up their pockets , the dignity , benevolence , peace and tranquility of the human beings been taken to abattoir and Slaughtered . And then, lie and deception are positioned for honesty and truth .

Ahmadinejad is practicing projection: accusing us of what Islam is doing including the occupation & genocidal aggression against Israel and the genocidal aggression by suicide bombers in Iraq.

Many peoples are exasperated from the present situation of the world . And they come to the conclusion that the existed procedure , method and technique can not provide tranquilly and peace to the mankind .

Blessed right we are pissed off! And negotiations, good will gestures, U.N. sanctions, appeasement, limited war & containment can not end Islam's genocidal campaign of imperial conquest. There will be peace when there is no more Islam, not before!

If Jesus Christ ( peace upon Him ) was present today , he would order encounter against those who would propagate corruption , obscenity and perversion , And try to nullify and exterminate the merits and the rights of women and diminish their position position that virgin Mary ( peace upon Her ) is their role model and sample .

Exactly who would Christ lead war against? Who nullifies the merits and rights of women?

2:223. Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth (have sexual relations with your wives in any manner as long as it is in the vagina and not in the anus), when or how you will, and send (good deeds, or ask Allâh to bestow upon you pious offspring) before you for your ownselves. And fear Allâh, and know that you are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give good tidings to the believers (O Muhammad ).
4:11. Allâh commands you as regards your children's (inheritance); to the male, a portion equal to that of two females; if (there are) only daughters, two or more, their share is two thirds of the inheritance; if only one, her share is half. [...]

Once Allah's Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o 'Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Apostle ?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."

If Jesus Christ ( peace upon Him ) was present today , He would order contention against those who try to discharge the world from morality , Spirituality , intellectuality , justice , and peace . And accordingly , the true followers of the Divine Prophets would follow their steps in regard to strengthening the morality , intellectuality , spirituality , peace and justice in The world .

Who is doing that? Who is burning books; won't allow the Holy scriptures to enter their domain? Who sentences a gang rape victim to 200 lashes? Who demands the death of anyone who converts to Christianity? Who demands total world conquest? Who is fomenting war & terror in Asia, Africa & Europe?

The same way that Jesus Christ ( peace upon Him ) invited the people to goodness and perfection , and also avoid them from evil , atrocity and Aggression , His true followers the same . With the belief in God and the Hereafter , they are frontiers in righteousness .

And what did Allah command? War, terror & genocide!!!

Embattled & Beleaguered, Bush Is Still The Most Admired Man

In spite of 7 years of negative press, continual assaults from opponents and leading America in another unpopular war, President George W. Bush, 43rd President of the nation, tops Gallup's recent poll again for the Most Admired Man.

The Gallup Poll, based on random telephone interviews with 1,011 adults, was conducted from December 14 to 16 of this year. For the seventh year in a row, President Bush ranked number one as the Most Admired Man with 10% choosing him. Coming in second as Most Admired Man was former President Bill Clinton with 8% choosing him.

Traditionally, sitting Presidents have topped Gallup's Most Admired Polls each year. During his Presidency, Clinton ranked at the top every year with between 20% selecting him as he took office to just 6% choosing him as he left, tying him for the top spot that year was Pope John Paul II. President Bush enjoys a similar spread during his administration, ranging from a high of 39% in Dec 2001 to the current low of 10%.

Sitting President's have topped this poll every year since 1981, outgoing former President Carter being edged out also by Pope John Paul II in 1980.

Of Bush winning with just 10% of those voting, Gallup says,

"That score is Bush's lowest in the seven years he has been named most admired man, and the fact that it is enough to win suggests that no dominant male personality has captured the public's admiration this year."

A curious claim from Gallup as in their December 2000 polling, they said,

"Bill Clinton has been at the top of this list of most admired men every year since he took office in 1993, with totals that ranged from 20% in 1993 to 18% in both 1996 and 1998. Last year, Clinton was on top with 10% of the vote,"

neglecting to mention that in that current poll, President Clinton tied with Pope John Paul II for Most Admired with just 6% of the vote.

Detractors of President Bush have a difficult time admitting it, but indicators show that America continues to prosper under President Bush's leadership. The Troop reinforcement is working in the Iraqi theater of the War on Terror, unemployment remains very low, the predicted recession has not occurred, inflation remains modest, consumer spending is the best in two years, while naysayers and those predicting doom and gloom continue to be proven wrong.

As the economy continues improving and even the War On Terror results in increased security at home and abroad, Republicans stand a chance of retaking control of the government in the upcoming elections, provided they can show they have learned their lesson on excessive and out of control spending.

With one year left in his second and final term as President, George W. Bush, in spite of everything thrown at him by the opposition, has remained strong and ignored attacks designed to cripple his ability to lead. Even with low overall approval numbers, he still leads the list of Most Admired, with the possibility of finishing his administration with even higher approval.

How history will judge the Bush years remains to be seen. Once all the smoke and dust settles from what is shaping up to be one of the dirtiest and nastiest campaigns in our history, suffering the worst attack upon our soil in our history, enduring unprecedented assaults on his character and abilities and leading a war to put an end to the three decades of terrorist attacks against American interests, George W. Bush will leave office with his head held high and many in America will look back fondly at him.
