Reid Can't Help It...He Is A Buffoon

As usual, I was surfing the internet that Gore built and stumbled upon this article about how Reid said the fires in Southern California is due to Global Warming and when called on his shiite later on, he said he didn't say that. Here's the problem...it was recorded.

Harry Reid Blames California Wildfires On Global Warming...Before He Denies He Said It.

After a closed door policy meeting with other Senate Democrats, Majority Leader and utter buffoon Hary Reid of Nevada took to the microphones just outside the floor of the United States Senate, and fielded questions.

In response to a question on the energy bill, Reid said the following:

As you know, one reason that we have the fires burning in Southern California is global warming. One reason the Colorado Basin is going dry is because of global warming.

Six questions later, a reporter followed up on Reid's amazing statement.

Question: Senator, on the California fires, you said that the reason the fires are burning in California is global warming?

Reid: No. Here's what I - I didn't say the reason the fires were burning in Southern California was global warming...

First, Reid is an idiot because tried to use global warming as a prop in a current news story in order to advance his energy bill agenda. When called on it, he denied he said it. It's on tape. You can listen to it here.

Second, he has no idea what he's talking about. Southern California is a desert. The Santa Ana winds are as normal this time of year as any other local weather phenomenon. In fact, some of the weathermen in the area had speculated on television newscasts in recent weeks that we usually get Santa Anas before now. And in the scope of the severity of the winds, this batch isn't even as bad as we've had. This is a very average wind pattern for us.

Reid may have wanted to blame the fires on global warming before he got called on it and ran away, but I'd be hard pressed to be persuaded that global warming caused arsonists to start several of these fires, or that global warming knocked down a power line in Malibu starting that fire, or that global warming caused a couple of construction workers to work with an arc welder in high winds, showering the local brush with sparks.

So now that Reid has publicly raised the global warming specter...that is, before he lowered it again in classic John Kerry fashion, it makes you wonder what's worse for Harry Reid's environment? Letting the fires burn, or polluting the ozone with all the hydrocarbons that come out of the exhaust of the DC-10's and helicopters that are frantically dropping water and fire retardant on the hot spots? Should Reid be calling for the removal of the firefighting from the air in order to minimize the footprint the fires are already putting in the air and remain consistent with his radical environmentalism?

Reid is a witless opportunist. Half a million people are evacuated, at least 1,200 homes have been lost so far, federal, state, county and local resources are performing acts of heroism all over California to save lives and property, and Harry Reid wants to blame it on global warming to score political points for his energy bill? What a creep.

No wonder they are losing more and more of their grip on the throats of America.

NYT...Save The Planet

From what? Al Gore The Fraud?
People often ask: I want to get greener, what should I do? New light bulbs? A hybrid? A solar roof? Well, all of those things are helpful. But actually, the greenest thing you can do is this: Choose the right leaders. It is so much more important to change your leaders than change your light bulbs.

[...]

Here is a clue. Save the planet, the world and the universe and don't vote for a socialist/Leninist or an idiot that won't wear a pin in fear of upsetting a minority fruit loop brigade and cannot act correctly when the National Anthem is playing.

And that is only a start. I am ALL for low emissions and all of that but to guise Bush Bashing in the retardedness of the Global Warming Myth is typical of the low-class NYSlimes.

Good grief.

Get a clue.

Gore Derangement Syndrome? Please Spare Us the Stupidity Of That

Krugman is at it again...whining. IT is good at that. When there is nothing of substance to report, the Leftinistra whine.

Catch the wave.

Several of us have already reported that The Goracle was given a Peace Prize for Global Warming which, has nothing to do with peace but the Leftinistra had to recognize him with a something and that is the best they could do for such a fraud and liar.

So, the Leftinistra, having suffered from the Bush Derangement Syndrome are now saying that we are suffering from Gore Derangement Syndrome. Is that a crock or what? Gore is a has been. A washed up nobody and is the darling of the Leftinistra because he was rewarded for being a liar...they deride GWB as being a liar yet praise one of their own for being a liar.

Simply amazing.

I wish they would make up their minds.

Oh. Wait. Don't forget the helmet.

Nobel Peace Prize Decision Makers Relegated to Awarding Liars

Al Bore Gore The Fraud has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for "for spreading the word on global warming".
Critics of Al Gore believe that the former vice president should not receive a Nobel Prize for his efforts regarding global warming -– including his film “An Inconvenient Truth” – but perhaps should get an award for his efforts as a climate change propagandist...
It makes no sense to reward someone for lying.

Does it?

Gore Lied And Millions Laughed

Global Warming. The Myth. The Man. The Double Standard Twit whose home uses up more electrons in a month than most will use in their lifetimes.

Global Warming. The Myth. The Man. The Double Standard Twit who flies around in a GV and gets picked up by a motorcade of stretch limos...and none of them use propane for fuel.

Global Warming. The Myth. The Man. The Double Standard Twit that screamed that GWB played on our fears (read emotions) and scared us into war now scares the world into believing the sky is falling.
Algore: We Have Ten Years Left Before Earth Cooks (requires El Rushbo 24/7 member access) 1/27/06

RUSH: Try this one from yesterday's stack. I don't know if you people know this or not, but Al Gore has been out at the Sundance Film Festival out there in Park City, Utah. This is one of Robert Redford's big do's, and apparently Al Gore is working on a movie that -- what is the name of this movie? Oh, that's right, "An Inconvenient Truth," and the movie will document his efforts to raise alarm on the effects of global warming, and so he brought Tipper and the kids out there.

He's attending parties and posing for pictures with his fans. He's enjoying macaroni and cheese at the Discovery Channel's soirée. He's palling around with Laurie David of Curb Your Enthusiasm, who is the husband of Larry David, who drives the Prius and then flies the GV. Larry David says, "You know, Al is a funny guy, but he's also a very serious guy who believes humans may have only 10 years left to save the planet from turning into a total frying pan."

Now, the last time I heard some liberal talk about "ten years" it was 1988, Ted Danson. We had ten years to save the oceans; we were all going to pay the consequences, which would result in our death. Now Al Gore says we've got ten years. Ten years left to save the planet from a scorching. Okay, we're going to start counting. This is January 27th, 2006. We will begin the count, ladies and gentlemen. This is just... You have to love these people -- from afar, and from a purely observational point of view.

Global Warming. The Myth. The Man. The Double Standard Twit that eats more food in a day than a starving kid in Ethiopia will eat in its lifetime.

Global Warming. The Myth. The Man. The Double Standard Twit the would be President.

Global Warming. The Myth. The Man. The Double Standard Twit whose Global Global Warming Concerts were the very epitome of Double Standards and were quite the flop.

Global Warming. The Myth. The Man. The Double Standard Twit whose movie entitled An Inconvenient Truth is actually a convenient lie.

Inaccuracies in Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth

The decision by the government to distribute Al Gore's film An Inconvenient Truth has been the subject of a legal action by New Party member Stewart Dimmock. Although a full ruling has yet to be given, the Court found that the film was misleading in 11 respects and that the Guidance Notes drafted by the Education Secretary’s advisors served only to exacerbate the political propaganda in the film.

In order for the film to be shown, the Government must first amend their Guidance Notes to Teachers to make clear that 1.) The Film is a political work and promotes only one side of the argument. 2.) If teachers present the Film without making this plain they may be in breach of section 406 of the Education Act 1996 and guilty of political indoctrination. 3.) Eleven inaccuracies have to be specifically drawn to the attention of school children.

The inaccuracies are:

The film claims that melting snows on Mount Kilimanjaro evidence global warming.

The Government’s expert was forced to concede that this is not correct.

The film suggests that evidence from ice cores proves that rising CO2 causes temperature increases over 650,000 years. The Court found that the film was misleading: over that period the rises in CO2 lagged behind the temperature rises by 800-2000 years.

The film uses emotive images of Hurricane Katrina and suggests that this has been caused by global warming. The Government’s expert had to accept that it was “not possible” to attribute one-off events to global warming.

The film shows the drying up of Lake Chad and claims that this was caused by global warming. The Government’s expert had to accept that this was not the case.

The film claims that a study showed that polar bears had drowned due to disappearing arctic ice. It turned out that Mr Gore had misread the study: in fact four polar bears drowned and this was because of a particularly violent storm.

The film threatens that global warming could stop the Gulf Stream throwing Europe into an ice age: the Claimant’s evidence was that this was a scientific impossibility.

The film blames global warming for species losses including coral reef bleaching. The Government could not find any evidence to support this claim.

The film suggests that the Greenland ice covering could melt causing sea levels to rise dangerously. The evidence is that Greenland will not melt for millennia.

The film suggests that the Antarctic ice covering is melting, the evidence was that it is in fact increasing.

The film suggests that sea levels could rise by 7m causing the displacement of millions of people. In fact the evidence is that sea levels are expected to rise by about 40cm over the next hundred years and that there is no such threat of massive migration.

The film claims that rising sea levels has caused the evacuation of certain Pacific islands to New Zealand. The Government are unable to substantiate this and the Court observed that this appears to be a false claim.
Imagine that.

Global Warming. The Myth. The Man. The Double Standard Twit that once upon a time said he wasn't running for President in 2008.

Yes, Al Boy, we are laughing at YOU!

Al Gore Is A Liar

And I will prove it. I found the following video over at RCP. It is called; "Gore: Why Bush attacked Iraq". "Gore says the Iraq War was based on raw power and ideology, not facts." Really, Al?

Here is the video from RCP:

And here is another video of Al Gore. I guess one or the other Al Gore is the impostor.

More On The MYTH of Global Warming...

...and the idiot proponents of same.

Just a small piece of the interviews here:

Gigot: All right, Rob.

Finally, why this weekend's Live Earth concerts may hurt the planet more than help. Kim?

Strassel: So while most of us are doing really unconscionable things this weekend, like driving our SUVs, Al Gore is hosting seven concerts, rock concerts, across the globe to raise awareness of global warming. You would think something as sanctimonious as this would get him credit, but in fact he is getting slammed by environmentalists. Why? Turns out that hosting big rock concerts wastes lots of energy: the stage lights, the speakers, the private jets to ferry all the performers to their performances.

The Live Earth people are, of course, defending themselves, saying this is going to be as green as an event can possibly get. But I think I'm with the critics. If you're going to talk the talk, you should walk the walk, and in this case, Al Gore might just have wanted to have sent an email.

Yes, indeed. I wonder how many pounds of jet fuel was burned, how many gallons of gasoline was burned, how many liters of diesel fuel was burned and how many mega-watts of electricity were expended to make the Green Concerts for Stupid People happen?

BUSH DID IT!!

BUSH MADE HIM DO IT!!!

Or, maybe the pressures of the Myth of Global Warming did it.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. - Al Gore’s son was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of possessing marijuana and prescription drugs after deputies pulled him over for speeding, authorities said.

Al Gore III

Al Gore III, 24, was driving a blue Toyota Prius about 100 mph on the San Diego Freeway when he was pulled over at about 2:15 a.m., Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino said.

The deputies said they smelled marijuana and searched the car, Amormino said. They found less than an ounce of marijuana along with Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall, which is used for attention deficit disorder, he said.

“He does not have a prescription for any of those drugs,” Amormino said.

Gore was being held in the men’s central jail in Santa Ana on $20,000 bail.

Kalee Kreider, a spokeswoman for his parents, did not immediately return phone messages to The Associated Press on Wednesday.

The son of the former vice president and Democratic presidential nominee also was pulled over and arrested for pot possession in December 2003, in Bethesda, Md., while he was a student at Harvard University.

He completed substance abuse counseling as part of a pretrial diversion program to settle those charges.

The youngest of Al and Tipper Gore’s four children and their only son, Gore lives in Los Angeles and is an associate publisher of GOOD, a magazine about philanthropy aimed at young people.

  1. He was also driving 100 MPH from what I understand. This kid needs rehab before he kills someone. I didn’t know those hybrids could go so fast. Learn something new everyday.

Always Agree?

Free Speech for People Who Think Like Me

In his best-selling book The Assault on Reason, Al Gore name-checks Jürgen Habermas, Noam Chomsky, and I.F. Stone, digresses into the peculiarities of human brain chemistry, and, as expected, explains the intricacies of atmospheric science. He is, The Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson recently wrote, “too ostentatiously smart to be elected president.” And as his book makes clear, he thinks the rest of us are hopelessly dumb.

War In Iraq

On Ending The War In Iraq

Today I was asked the following questions:

“If you had the opportunity to run for president, would you?”

I thought for a minute and said, “Yes.”

Would you end the war in Iraq and bring the troops home?

I said,”Yes.”

How would you end the war?

I said, “I would immediately bring the troops home and then send Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, John Kerry, George Soros, Richard Durbin, Charles Schumer, Al Sharpton, George Clooney, John Murtha, Barak, Jesse Jackson, Toad Kennedy, Graham, Not-so-Sharpton, Edwards, Kucinich, Gore, Screamin’ Dean, Boxer, Gore the Emotional, Sphincter Specter, Frankenfeinstein, all members of the ACLU for leagal matters, and the lamest of all trolls in trolldom, a troll of many handles, Draoul, over to Iraq to finish the job…and they could not return until the job was complete”

As promised at my other blog that I share with TWO scholars of Islam, I am now going to modify this post with additional folks we should send to the Jihadis to settle this war. Directly above, the additional Intelligentsia are added, in red. The following were proposed:

Al Gore and The Puny Brain Attention Span Issues

Rewind: Gore Blasts G.H.W. Bush for Ignoring Iraq Terror Ties

From Breitbart TV…so what did the Clintonistas do for 8 years? Isn’t the internet (that Gore invented) a wonderful thing?

The tape discussed on The Rush Limbaugh Show. A 1992 speech: Gore condemns President Bush for “blatant disregard for brutal terrorism, a dangerous blindness to the murderous ambitions of a despot.”

Imagine that…

Remember how AL Gore “chastised” the President about his lies and pretty much has painted a picture that Saddam wasn’t so bad after all? Remember Gores emotional outburts with his blood vessels in his neck stretched out to capacity screaming;

“And the reason I’m recalling those feelings now is because those are the feelings that were betrayed by this president! He betrayed this country! He played on our fears! He took America, he took America on an ill-conceived foreign adventure dangerous to our troops, an adventure that was preordained and planned before 9/11 ever took place!”.

Gore is a fool.

Remember this? We do;

“…as the tide of battle was shifting decisively in our favor, the commander in chief made a controversial decision to divert a major portion of our army to invade another country that, according to the best evidence compiled in a new, exhaustive, bi-partisan study, posed no imminent threat to us and had nothing to do with the attack against us.” He later added; “A little over a year ago, when we launched the war against this second country, Iraq, President Bush repeatedly gave our people the clear impression that Iraq was an ally and partner to the terrorist group that attacked us, al Qaeda, and not only provided a geographic base for them but was also close to providing them weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear bombs.” Shortly after he said, “As a result, President Bush is now intentionally misleading the American people by continuing to aggressively and brazenly assert a linkage between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein.”

Then, adding insult to injury;

“If he is not lying, if they genuinely believe that, that makes them unfit in battle with al Qaeda. If they believe these flimsy scraps, then who would want them in charge? Are they too dishonest or too gullible? Take your pick.”

Now, compare the video above, made in 1992 to the one below, made in 2004.

Then tell me who is the liar.

Global Warming...The Myth

Senator James Inhoffe on The Global Warming Myth

Senator James Inhoffe on The Global Warming Myth

Thursday, May 24, 2007 9:37 PM

From Kevin McCullough
Thursday, May 24, 2007

Beating liberals silly…

Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 8:41 PM
It’s days like today that make me wish James Inhoffe was in the GOP field for President. In the following speech today in committee - he gave Barbara Boxer the philosophical beatdown of her career:

Thank you for having this hearing today, Madam Chairman. I have to say, however, that we seem to have hearing after hearing after hearing on climate change – indeed, this is the Committee’s second one this week alone – but we don’t seem to actually discuss legislation. While other Committees without jurisdiction on this issue attempt to write our nation’s global warming policies, this Committee sits idly by talking about tangential issues. I believe that if we do wrestle with actual legislation, then the folly of cap-and-trade carbon legislation will become apparent.

The recreation industry’s true threats come not from climate change – which has always changed and will always change – but from the so-called global warming ‘solutions’ being proposed by government policymakers. Misguided efforts to ‘solve’ global warming threaten to damage the travel and recreation industry. In short, it is a direct threat America’s way of life. If we cannot fly to remote locations, and if few automobiles are capable of pulling boats, jet skies, and campers, and if RVs become a thing of the past as environmentalists would like, then minor climate fluctuations will have little impact on recreation because Americans will not have the means to recreate.

I will not belabor my views about the scientific underpinnings of global warming alarmism, other than to make a few observations. The fact that climate fluctuates – changes – is nothing new, and should not be feared. It has always changed, and unless the processes of the planet suddenly stopped, it always will. There is little disagreement that it warmed in the Northern Hemisphere from about 1970’s until 1998, and that since that time, temperatures flattened. And there is general agreement that some human activities such as the building of cities and expanding agriculture, have contributed to this. But there remains much debate in the peer-reviewed scientific literature as to the many factors which may influence climate that is of importance to the question of whether climate fluctuations are natural or caused by humans. But regardless of that debate, a healthy functioning planet means constant changes in our climate.

There are winners and losers as climate fluctuates. A warming period could be a boon for warm weather destinations like beaches and lakes and a cooling period like we experienced from 1940-1970s could be beneficial for cold weather recreation like skiing and snowboarding. This past winter saw record snows in the Rocky Mountain region as well as an unusually cold spring in Alaska. Currently, we are seeing a Memorial Day snow advisory for the Colorado Mountains. Wyoming being buried in a May snowstorm and parts of Canada are still enduring winter. In addition, South Africa just set 54 new cold weather records with some parts seeing snow for the first time in 33 years as snow and ice continue to fall. And I am not finished. A massive snowstorm in China has closed highways and stranded motorists. And finally, winter has arrived early in Australia as the snow season is off to a promising start for the winter recreation industry.

But the most verifiable threat to the recreation and travel industry is the unintended consequences of misguided government policy and environmental activists. The chilling effect of guilt that the climate alarmists are attempting to instill in Americans for owning four wheel drive vehicles, flying in an airplane and enjoying travel is enough to harm the industry. For examples of this promotion of misguided policies and guilt, you need look no further than a proposal in April by the UK-based Institute for Public Policy Research, which called for tobacco-style health warnings on airplanes to warn passengers that the plane flight may be contributing to a global warming crisis. The group proposed posting signs on airplanes which read “flying causes climate change.”

Another example of unintended consequences by climate crusaders was the recent proclamation by a UK grocery store announcing it would usher in ‘carbon friendly’ policies and stop importing food from faraway nations. This proposal may have been popular with wealthy Western environmentalists, but the idea did not sit so well with poor African farmers. As a February 21, 2007 BBC article details:

“Kenyan farmers, whose lifelong carbon emissions are negligible compared with their counterparts in the West, are fast becoming the victims of a green campaign that could threaten their livelihoods. A recent bold statement by UK supermarket Tesco ushering in ‘carbon friendly’ measures - such as restricting the imports of air freighted goods by half and the introduction of “carbon counting” labeling - has had environmentalists dancing in the fresh produce aisles, but has left African horticulturists confused and concerned.”

The BBC article continues:

“Half of this produce goes to the UK’s supermarkets, generating at least £100m per year for this developing country. The dependence on the UK market cannot be underestimated, says Stephen Mbithi Mwikya, chief executive of FPEAK. For Kenya, horticulture is the country’s second biggest foreign exchange earner after tourism. ‘This announcement from Tesco is devastating’, says Mr Mbithi.”

The recent announcement by travel guru Mark Ellingham, the author of the Rough Guide travel book series, that he was now recanting his promotion of worldwide travel is another blow to the travel and recreation industry. Ellingham now says that our addiction to ‘binge flying’ is killing the planet.

This kind of alarmism should concern the travel and recreation industry, not natural climate fluctuations which mankind has no control over.

There is even more proof showing that the dangers facing travel and recreation are coming from climate hysteria. The Associated Press on May 16, 2007 reported that ecotourism –the type of travel you would expect environmentalists to endorse–is no more Earth friendly than regular travel due to the long plane flights necessary to bring vacationers to exotic locales. The Norwegian Environment Minister Helen Bjoernoey is now warning about long distance travel.

“Long distance travel — especially air travel — is a challenge to all of us. We know that it has serious impacts on the climate,” Bjoernoey said.

I cannot think of a more devastating sentiment to the industry than that. Reduce air travel because of unfounded fears of climate doom. That is the authentic threat not only to the travel industry, but the developing world which depends so much on tourism to improve the life its residents. Clearly, the unfounded fears of a man-made climate catastrophe and the proposed solutions represent the gravest threats to the industry.

Thank you.

No Senator - THANK YOU!
