Muslim Charter of Misrepresentation

Thursday, January 10, 2008 saw the signing by representatives of 400 European Muslim organizations, of a Charter of European Muslim Understanding, whose text you may read at UpPompeii. The charter is the work of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe.

Let us critically examine some critical provisions of the charter. Section 1, Article 5: [Emphasis added for clarity.]

5. Islam has honoured human beings as stewards of the earth. This honour embraces all the children of Adam, both male and female, without discrimination. By virtue of this honour, human beings are to be protected from anything that is an affront to their dignity, is harmful to their mental faculties, is damaging to their health or which abuses their rights by exploiting their vulnerabilities.

All human beings, male and female are equal, without discrimination. All are to be protected from affront to dignity and physical harm; their vulnerabilities are not to be exploited. Is there any truth in those statements? By what standard and what evidence shall we judge this matter?

1. Our understanding of Islam is based on immutable principles that are derived from the authentic sources of Islam: the Qur'an and the Prophetic traditions (Sunnah), within the framework of consensus with consideration for the time factor as well as the specifics of the European reality.

What does Allah, in his Qur'an tell us about the dignity of women?

• 2:223. Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth (have sexual relations with your wives in any manner as long as it is in the vagina and not in the anus), [...]
• 4:11. Allâh commands you as regards your children's (inheritance); to the male, a portion equal to that of two females; [...]
• 2:282. [...]And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her. [...]

What do the traditions testify to the dignity of women?

• Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 6, Number 301: [...]The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion." [...]

What of the dignity of disbelievers; what did Allah say?

• 8:22. Verily! The worst of (moving) living creatures with Allâh are the deaf and the dumb, those who understand not (i.e. the disbelievers).
• 2:65. And indeed you knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday). We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected."
• 3:112. Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men; they have drawn on themselves the Wrath of Allâh, and destruction is put over them. This is because they disbelieved in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh and killed the Prophets without right. This is because they disobeyed (Allâh) and used to transgress beyond bounds (in Allâh's disobedience, crimes and sins).
• 9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

And what did Moe testify to our dignity?

• Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387:

  Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah."
  

Dignity, equality, protection; three strikes and yer out!!

7. Islam calls for equality between man and woman within the framework of mutual respect and views that a balanced life is one in which the relationship between man and woman is harmonious and complementary. It unequivocally rejects all notions or actions that undermine women or deprive them of their legitimate rights, regardless of some customs or habits of some Muslims. Islam strongly opposes the exploitation of women and their treatment as mere objects of desire.

Is that true? What did Allah say about that?

• 4:24. Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (captives and slaves) whom your right hands possess. [...]

  I entered the Mosque and saw Abu Said Al-Khudri and sat beside him and asked him about Al-Azl (i.e. coitus interruptus). Abu Said said, "We went out with Allah's Apostle for the Ghazwa of Banu Al-Mustaliq and we received captives from among the Arab captives and we desired women and celibacy became hard on us and we loved to do coitus interruptus. So when we intended to do coitus interrupt us, we said, 'How can we do coitus interruptus before asking Allah's Apostle who is present among us?" We asked (him) about it and he said, 'It is better for you not to do so, for if any soul (till the Day of Resurrection) is predestined to exist, it will exist."

9. Islam respects human rights and calls for equality among all human beings, it rejects all forms of racial discrimination and emphasises the importance of liberty. Hence it condemns compulsion in religion and allows the individual freedom of conscience. Furthermore, Islam encourages that freedom ought to be exercised in accordance with moral values and respect for law, such that it does not infringe upon the rights of others.

What did Moe say about discrimination?

10. Islam calls for mutual acquaintance between people, dialogue and co-operation among people and nations so as to enhance co-existence and achieve peace in the world. The term Jihad that occurs in Islamic texts means to exert all efforts towards good, starting from reforming oneself to spreading truth and justice between people. Jihad in its understanding as warfare is regarded as one of the means available to a Muslim state when it needs to defend itself against aggression. This is in compliance with international law. Based on such an understanding of Jihad, Islam rejects indiscriminate violence and terrorism and supports just causes and affirms the right of all people to defend themselves by legitimate means.

What did Allah say?

• 8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. [...]
• 9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
• 9:123. O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allâh is with those who are the Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2).
  

What did Moe say?

  The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: I am commanded to fight with men till they testify that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and His Apostle, face our qiblah (direction of prayer), eat what we slaughter, and pray like us. When they do that, their life and property are unlawful for us except what is due to them. They will have the same rights as the Muslims have, and have the same responsibilities as the Muslims have.

Now we know that Islam remains true to form, contstant in its practice of al-Taqeyya. There is no truth in it!

Four Blind Fools

Most of the Republican aspirants made fools of themselves in ABC's "debate" Saturday night. I will quote them out of context. To see the quotes in context, click this link to the transcript.


I'll pick on Governor Romney first.

But we're going to have to move our strategy from simply being a respond to military threat with military action to an effort that says we're going to use our military and nonmilitary resources -- nonmilitary resources -- combined with other nations who are our friends to help move the world of Islam toward modernity and moderation.

The Governor exposes abject ignorance of Islam. As defined by its canon of scripture & tradition, Islam is intolerant, militant, violent & imperialistic. And irreformable.

The new mission for NATO and for other nations is to help provide the rule of law, education that's not through madrassas, agricultural and economic policies that can be instilled in various Islamic countries, so the Muslims are able to reject the extreme and the terrorists.

It is not possible to reject terrorism without rejecting Islam; terrorism is an intrinsic sacrament of the murder cult, sanctified by 3:151, commanded by 8:12 and exemplified in 33:26-27 & 59:2 and confirmed by Bukhari 4.52.220 and 1.7.331. Likewise, genocide is commanded in 8:67 & 47:4 and confirmed by Abu Dawud 38.4390.

We do need -- I agree with what the mayor said -- we need to add to our military by at least 100,000 troops. But the answer is to move now to a second phase, a phase of helping Muslims become so strong they can reject the extreme.

Strengthen our enemy and then what? They'll attack us with renewed vigor and ability, that's what!! They can not reject the command to fight Jews & Christians until we are subdued and pay extortion. That command is clearly stated in 9:29 and confirmed by Bukhari 1.8.387 and 4.53.386. Muslims can not reject Islam's damnable doctrines without rejecting Islam!

I'd read what they write to one another. And that's why when someone like Sayyid Qutb lays out the philosophy of radical jihadism and says, "We want to kill..."

Qutb did not invent Islamic doctrine which mandates Jihad, terror & genocide, Moe did.[Citations in previous comment.] Romney does not know this fatal fact because he has not read Islam's canon of scripture & tradition. Neither has he read Islamic law, which far predates Qutb, and declares that "The Caliph makes war upon Jews and Christians." [Reliance of the Traveler: Book O, Ch. 9, Section 8.]

The reason -- why did they kill Madam Bhutto? It has nothing to do with us. This has to do with a battle that is going on within the world of Islam, of radical, violent jihadists trying to bring down all moderate Islamic people and nations and replace them with a religious caliphate.

So close, yet so far from comprehending the truth! He does not understand that Allah commands Muslims to conquer the entire world.

Next, I'll take on Mayor Giuliani.

It seems to me, if you don't face this squarely -- there's an Islamic, terrorism threat against us. It's an existential threat. It has nothing to do with our foreign policy. It has to do with their ideas, their theories, the things that they have done and the way they've perverted their religion into a hatred of us.

But they have not perverted their religion into hatred! Islam is perpetual war, not a religion! Like Gov. Romney, the Mayor is ignorant of Islam. He does not know that Moe, speaking for Allah, commanded Muslims to make war on Pagans until only Allah is worshiped and to make war on Jews & Christians until we are subdued and pay extortion.

And what's at stake are the things that are best about us: our freedom of religion, our freedom for women, our right to vote, our free economic system. Our foreign policy is irrelevant -- totally irrelevant. If you read what they write, if you bother to listen to what they say, this comes out of their own perverted thinking.

No, Mr. Mayor, it comes directly from Islam's canon of scripture & tradition: Qur'an & Hadith, which I have cited in a previous comment. Those ayat & ahadith are the basis of Islamic law, also previously cited. "The Caliph makes war..." these politicians don't get it.

It is important to make this point. Just the opposite, Ron. I have great respect for the Islamic religion. I have great respect for the Arab world, for the Middle East.

I think we should be closer to them. I think we should trade more with them. I think we should have cultural exchanges with them.

The overwhelming majority of the Islamic world...

The mayor repeated one lie twice "I think". A thinking man would not make the statements to which I added bold face.

Let me try to explain so you can understand this better.

Try to visualize how we would react if they did that to us, if a country, say China, came that great distance across the ocean, and they say, "We want you to live like us. We want you to have our economic system. We want bases on your land. We want to protect our oil."

Even if we do that with good intentions -- even if the Chinese did that with good intentions, we would all be together and we'd be furious.

Blame America first, unaware of Allah's demonic commands; unaware of Moe's 86 conquests, unaware of the conquest of Yemen, Syria, North Africa, Greece, Spain, Turkey, Albania & India, all of which preceded the discovery & pumping of oil in the region.

There's always a radical element in almost all religions. They have to have an incentive. We give them that incentive.

The question that you don't -- aren't willing to ask is, why is it that they attack America? I mean, they don't attack the Canadians. They don't attack the Swiss. If it were merely because they wanted to go into Europe, why do they...

Blame America first. Radical element? Show me where in the Gospels & Book of Acts Jesus commands his disciples to make war. Show me where he leads them into battle. Show me where he commands them to engage in genocide and terrify their victims. Religion is defined by the rule--divine command--not the violation thereof.

You paint all Islamics... ... the same way, and this is a dangerous thing... What you're doing is damaging our relationship by destroying our relationship with all Muslims. That's what you're doing.

The fact is when there is a serious threat to this country, it is not a threat because we happen to be peace-loving people. It's a threat because in the heart of the radical Islamic faith -- not all Islam, and that's what's very important.

And the fact is, there is nothing about our attacking them that prompts this. They are prompted by the fact they believe that they must establish a worldwide caliphate that has nothing to do with us other than we live and breathe and their intention is to destroy us.

Why won't you read the writings of the founder of Islam, Governor? Because you haven't read the Qur'an & Hadith, you are abysmally ignorant of Islam and mislead those you seek to govern.

Bush Lies About Islam!!

World Net Daily reports that President Bush, in an interview with Al Arabiya, said:

"I believe that Islam is a great religion that preaches peace. And I believe people who murder the innocent to achieve political objectives aren't religious people, whether they be a Christian who does that – we had a person blow up our – blow up a federal building in Oklahoma City who professed to be a Christian, but that's not a Christian act to kill innocent people. "And I just simply don't subscribe to the idea that murdering innocent men, women and children – particularly Muslim men, women and children in the Middle East – is an act of somebody who is a religious person."

From this we learn that the President believes:

Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.

   That saying makes it perfectly clear: Islam's deen is ghazwat-- raids for the purpose of accruing spoils of war. Muhammad wanted the Muslims making war, not plowing fields.    Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387:
   Narrated Anas bin Malik:
   Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah."

3. What is it they say when they slash throats or detonate their bombs? "Allahhu Akbar!" If they are not religious, why do they shout "Allah is greater!" ? If terrorists are motivated by repression, poverty & illiteracy why aren't the Burmese engaging in terrorism? Why aren't the impoverished peasants of China & Latin America engaging in widespread terrorism? First, the mission of the United Nations requires liberating people from tyranny and violence. The first article of the Universal Declaration begins, "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights." The truth is denied by terrorists and extremists who kill the innocent with the aim of imposing their hateful vision on humanity. The followers of this violent ideology are a threat to civilized people everywhere. All civilized nations must work together to stop them -- by sharing intelligence about their networks, and choking their -- off their finances, and bringing to justice their operatives.

In the long run, the best way to defeat extremists is to defeat their dark ideology with a more hopeful vision -- the vision of liberty that founded this body. The United States salutes the nations that have recently taken strides toward liberty -- including Ukraine and Georgia and Kyrgyzstan and Mauritania and Liberia, Sierra Leone and Morocco. The Palestinian Territories have moderate leaders, mainstream leaders that are working to build free institutions that fight terror, and enforce the law, and respond to the needs of their people. The international community must support these leaders, so that we can advance the vision of two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, living side-by-side in peace and security.

Brave citizens in Lebanon and Afghanistan and Iraq have made the choice for democracy -- yet the extremists have responded by targeting them for murder. This is not a show of strength -- it is evidence of fear. And the extremists are doing everything in their power to bring down these young democracies. The people of Lebanon and Afghanistan and Iraq have asked for our help. And every civilized nation has a responsibility to stand with them.

• The Abbas regime names schools, summer camps & soccer tournaments in honor of Splodydopes who murder Jews and Americans. He gives American supplied rifles and ammunition to terrorists for use against Israel. When has he ever acted to prevent or reduce terror attacks against Israel? • 8:65 O Prophet (Muhammad)! Urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast persons amongst you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a hundred steadfast persons they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are people who do not understand.
• What happened in 1948, '56, '64 & '72??? How do you square that with Allah's promise?
• Muslim Book 041, Number 6985:

There is no two state solution; only a one state / one people solution: Israel!!! Israel without Islam! A world without Islam can be at peace. With Islam, there can never be peace!

They fight in Allâh's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success .

Democracy involves legislation arrived at by concensus & compromise and enforced impartially. Islam allows only one law: Sharia, which is derived from the Qur'an & Hadith. Man made legislation is blasphemy because it deprives Allah of his absolute right to rule. To have Democracy, you must eliminate Islam!

Allah's Apostle, Jesus, and his companions would then again beseech Allah, Who would send birds whose necks would be like those of bactrin camels and they would carry them and throw them where God would will.

Sahih Muslim Book 001, Number 0289:

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger or Allah (may peace be upon him) observed: I swear by Allah that the son of Mary will certainly descend as a just judge and he would definitely break the cross, and kill swine and abolish Jizya and would leave the young she-camel and no one would endeavour to (collect Zakat on it). Spite, mutual hatred and jealousy against one another will certainly disappear and when he summons people to accept wealth, not even one would do so.

Are you catching on yet? Christ will come, destroy Christianity, kill the remaining Jews and make the Muslims fabulously wealthy. And we are supposed to accept that fecal matter as our salvation? In a pig's!

LETTER TO THE JEWS OF KHYBER

The people who will be with him, shall be harsh towards the enemies of Allah. And amongst themselves, they shall be kind and loving. They shall bow and prostrate before Allah. And they shall seek His bounty and goodwill". I ask you to swear by Allah, who sent Torah for you and who made your forefathers eat 'mann, and 'Salva' and dried sea for them and rid them of the tyranny of pharaoh. It is not written in Torah that you should believe in me? After the explanation about me in the Torah, do guidance and transgression become apparent? Therefore I invite you towards Allah and His Prophet.' Seal: Allah's Prophet Muhammad

What's that about being harsh towards the enemies of Allah?

9:73. O Prophet (Muhammad )! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them, their abode is Hell, - and worst indeed is that destination.
9:123. O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allâh is with those who are the Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2).

Do you still need a clue? Here it is: what Muhammad did after sending that Goddamn extortion letter.

Bukhari Volume 5, Book 59, Number 512:
Narrated Anas:
The Prophet offered the Fajr Prayer near Khaibar when it was still dark and then said, "Allahu-Akbar! Khaibar is destroyed, for whenever we approach a (hostile) nation (to fight), then evil will be the morning for those who have been warned." Then the inhabitants of Khaibar came out running on the roads. The Prophet had their warriors killed, their offspring and woman taken as captives. Safiya was amongst the captives, She first came in the share of Dahya Alkali but later on she belonged to the Prophet . The Prophet made her manumission as her 'Mahr'.

If they answer to the invitation, they will be saved and if they don't, the same thing that befell the people of the past will befall them.

What the Hell befell the people of the past? Still no God blessed clue?

7:4. And a great number of towns (their population) We destroyed (for their crimes). Our torment came upon them (suddenly) by night or while they were sleeping for their afternoon rest.

Will you get a God blessed clue!!! Muhammad paid a visit to the local Jewish settlements and he said something nasty.

Bukhari Volume 4, Book 53, Number 392:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

While we were in the Mosque, the Prophet came out and said, "Let us go to the Jews" We went out till we reached Bait-ul-Midras. He said to them, "If you embrace Islam, you will be safe.You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle, and I want to expel you from this land. So, if anyone amongst you owns some property, he is permitted to sell it, otherwise you should know that ."

Embrace Islam and you will be safe. Otherwise?? Oh, yeah, what happened to the Khaiibar Oasis?

According to holy Koran:
"One who does not answer the divine call should not think that he has weakened God on earth; he has no companion but God and he is clearly engulfed by darkness".
They have nothing of their own and can not escape from the dominion of the rule of God and his will.

In this important gathering, I have to remind them of the following words of the Almighty which has been mentioned in the Holy Quran:

"Do they not look at the powers and governments which came before them? If the people of the past had actually possessed something, they would have kept it and would not have let you the posses it now. God destroyed them because of their sins and nobody could protect them against the will of God".

They have to know that the ways and traditions based on oppression and injustice will be destroyed. Do they not see the signs of vigilance and resistance based on monotheism, philanthropy and the justice-seeking spirit of the nations of the world? Do they not notice the imminent fall of empires?

I hope that this invitation will have a practical answer.

It is the divine promise that the truth will be victorious and earth will be inherited by the righteous. You, who are free, believers and the people of the world, put your trust in God. You, who crave for the high values, wherever you are, try to prepare the grounds for the fulfillment of this great divine promise by serving the people and seeking justice.

Divine promise? What promise?? Ignorant Idiots!!! Get a God blessed clue for Chrissake!!!

40:51 Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh Islâmic Monotheism) in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection),

This belief and endeavor is the key to unity and the constructive interactions among nations, countries, the people of the world and all the true justice seekers.

Without any doubt, the Promised One who is the final Savior and the last heavenly message will come. In the company of all believers, justice-seekers and benefactors, he will establish the bright future and fill the world with justice and beauty. This is the promise of God, therefore it will be fulfilled.

Let's have a role in the fulfillment of all this glory and beauty.
I wish for the bright future for all human beings and the dawn of the liberation and freedom for all humans and the rule of love and affections all around the world as well as elimination of oppression, hatred and violence. The wish which I think will be realized in the near future.

To Islam, Justice is the total absence of resistance. Peace is what prevails after they have conquered the world.

A most execrable servant of Satan stood before the United Nations General Assembly and in the most cynical & hypocritical manner possible invited the world to surrender to him as Satan's Imam and threatened it with violent conquest and destruction in the case of refusal. • So from a divine perspective as well as from a humane perspective, insecurity, violence, terror are not all simple challenges or perhaps one of oppression or deviation from the collective rights of individuals and people, so that that is not just simply the case; rather, it goes broader. That level of insecurity is oppressing mankind in its totality. ¹⁰


• We have to look at the rights of man, the needs of mankind and the dignity of mankind.¹¹


• I believe in setting up a prosperous future, the role of the press is very important. The press plays a connecting role, and it provides information and promotes -- can serve as a channel for promoting correct thinking. The role of the press is to disseminate moral behavior, to disseminate goodness, purity, honesty, peace, security and all positive messages that arise from that. And this role is extremely significant; God forbid -- they must prevent the dissemination of hatred and impurity and insecurity, for in that sense, too, they play a very sensitive role.¹²


• There are some powerful groups that do not allow that. Their interest rests in belittling mankind. Their interest rests in the unawareness of mankind. Their interest rests in controlling the free flow of information. Their interest rests on attacking and aggressing other nations and the rights of other people. Their interest rests on producing weapons and to sell those weapons and arms. But our human responsibility requires us to reflect on the reality and truth as it is, and bring the message of peace and friendship for all humanity. I hope that we will all succeed in our efforts.¹³


• We think that all religions and all divine religions have the same message. They all come from the same place. They have several clear messages: to invite man to worship God, which is the root of all goodness; to invite man to justice, which guarantees love, friendship and viable security; to invite man to dignity and to respect of mankind; to invite man to love the rest of mankind. These messages are set in the religion of Christ -- of Moses and Christ as well as the holy passage of Islam. These prophets have all given the same messages. They never had differences in that respect. There was never a conflict there because their root goes back to the same -- (word inaudible) -- and their message was the same as well.¹⁴

But instead of a response, I got a wave of insults and allegations against me, and regretfully, they came mostly from groups who claimed most to believe in the freedom of speech and the freedom of information.   For 60 years, these people are displaced; for 60 years, these people are being killed; for 60 years, on a daily basis, there's conflict and terror; for 60 years, innocent women and children are destroyed and killed by helicopters and airplanes that break the house over their heads; for 60 years, children in kindergartens in schools, in high schools are in prison being tortured; for 60 years, security in the Middle East has been in danger; for 60 years, the slogan of expansionism from the Nile to the Euphrates has been chanted by certain groups in that part of the world. ¹⁸

  The Palestinian people didn't commit any crime.¹⁹ They had no role to play in World War II.²⁰ They were living with the Jewish communities and the Christian communities in peace at the time. They didn't have any problems. And today, too, Jews, Christians and Muslims live in brotherhood all over the world,²¹ in many parts of the world. They don't have any serious problems.

  
  
  But why is it that the Palestinians should pay a price, innocent Palestinians?²² For 5 million people to remain displaced or refugees of war for 60 years are -- is this not a crime?²³ Is asking about these crimes a crime by itself? Why should an academic, myself, face insults when asking questions like this?²⁴ Is this what you call freedom and upholding the freedom of thought?

Narrated Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik, "O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?" He replied, "Whoever says, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah', faces our Qibla during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have."

   • Al-Shafi'i (God have mercy on him) said: "The least that the imam must do is that he allow no year to pass without having organised a military expedition by himself, or by his raiding parties, according to the Muslims' interest, so that the jihad will only be stopped in a year for a (reasonable) excuse." He said: "If he did not undertake the sending of enough troops to fight, those who are absent (must) go out, and consider as an obligation that which God (who is praised) said."

And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fâsiqûn (disobedient to Allâh - and rebellious against Allâh's Command).
     
     3:111. They will do you no harm, barring a trifling annoyance; and if they fight against you, they will show you their backs, and they will not be helped.
     
     3:112. Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men; they have drawn on themselves the Wrath of Allâh, and destruction is put over them. This is because they disbelieved in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh and killed the Prophets without right. This is because they disobeyed (Allâh) and used to transgress beyond bounds (in Allâh's disobedience, crimes and sins).
