According to Snooper:The only argument that is being made for staying at home and allowing Obama to gain the White House and take a larger majority in the CONgress with him is that Obama is no different than McCain.I do not argue for abstaining from voting nor do I know of any such argument being made. I advocate demanding that the GOP convention dump Senator McCain and replace him with a Conservative who will campaign on & govern by Conservative principles, not accepting the 'crats premises as the basis for debate. Failing that, I will coast down the hill to the polling place and cast a write in in protest.
That's pretty petty and pathetic. How can a known Marxist that deep down loathes Traditional Americana and The Troops as well be a better choice in the alleged long run?
That position is indefensible plain and simple.
There are significant differences between the two candidates, but neither is acceptable. Either one will do irreparable harm to the Constitution and to our liberty & prosperity. The blend of racism with the Saul Alinsky agenda is not acceptable. Neither are the Kyoto Treaty, the Law of the Sea Treaty, carbon taxes or cap & trade.
The Unfairness Doctrine is not acceptable neither is McCain-Feingold.
Packing the Supreme Court with judicial activists pushing the Socialist Agenda is not acceptable neither is Filibustering judicial nominees.
In any term, short, mid or long, both Senator Obama and Senator McCain are unacceptable, not only on domestic issues but on national security as well. Senator Obama would return explicitly to the domestic criminal prosecution model of counter terrorism. That is not acceptable; the consequences could be deadly, just as they were in and after the Clinton administration. Senator McCain would continue the Bush blindness which can neither identify the enemy nor define victory.

"If all resistance to occupation ends along with all sectarian attacks on Iraqi civilians and the al-Maliki regime succeeds in uniting Iraq while preserving a democratic system of open elections, is that victory? Not if Iraq is allied with Iran and reverts to a pattern of shielding, training, facilitating & subsidizing terrorists!
Iraq's new constitution says that Sharia is the source of its laws. If you have read my posts, you know what Sharia requires: at least one military expedition against the Kuffar in every year until the entire world is subjugated. That ain't victory! He also said:

Not as much as others do because after the initial victory, if we'd have handled it right, everybody would be happy with Iraq today because Saddam Hussein is gone and they have a country that's functioning."Eliminating Saddam and restoring Iraq to functional status does not constitute victory. There is no victory if Iraq reverts to supporting terrorism, which it will so long as it remains under Islamic control.

I think one of the great tragedies of the 21st century is that these forces of evil have perverted what's basically an honorable religion."I have challenged Senator McCain to tell us about Islam's good principles. He has not responded, and I will be very surprised if he does. What is honorable about conquest, genocide & terrorism? Who has perverted Islam and how?
Senator Obama would waste the sacrifice of our troops by surrendering, emboldening and strengthening the enemy in the process. Senator McCain would extend the sacrifice of our troops by fighting without knowing who the enemy is and when victory is achieved. Neither one is superior. Neither one is acceptable.
The Iraq Veterans running to replace various Leftinistra members of the GOP and DNC parties are running to assist conservatives to retake the Congress. Does staying home in a tizzy fit help these men win? No, it does not.How does accepting the 'Crat's premise at the commencement of debate help to retake Congress? Senator McCain has accepted the anthropomorphic global warming theory, which should be a major campaign issue. He has also accepted the concept of alien amnesty and open borders, both of which are major campaign issues. He only recently stepped up to the plate on domestic oil exploration & production. Will he challenge the 'Crats on their blockage of common sense action? No, he won't. He will have no coat tails, and will preside over expanded 'Crat majorities in both houses.
Does giving up the fight to watch the country descend into Marxist rule make any sense to one with a rational mind set? No, it does not.The fight has been given up by those who concede the GOP nomination to McCain. He was selected by 43.5% of the primary & caucus voters; 56.5% preferred someone else. Why are you settling for a minority candidate selected by the media and interloping libtards?
If you want to win the GWOT, you need to nominate a candidate who can identify the enemy and define victory. If you want to recover control of the House & Senate, you need to nominate a candidate able & willing to articulate and advance Conservative principles. If you want our borders secured and immigration brought under control, you need to nominate a candidate who advocates those objectives. If you want the first amendment to be enforced and preserved so that Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and other Conservative radio hosts won't be censored, you need to nominate a candidate who respects the right of freedom of expression. If you want the Supreme Court to judge the constitutionality of laws instead of legislating from the bench, you need to nominate a candidate who respects the nomination and confirmation process, not one who acted to maintain an unconstitutional Filibuster process for blocking nominees.
In summation, if you want Conservatives to support, contribute to and enthusiastically vote for your presidential nominee, then nominate a genuine Conservative, not a RINO who would re-define Conservativism.
